At Racing Owl, we provide club level motorsport teams and drivers with a tyre shaving solution to improve performance.

Most people know us for tyre shaving.

That’s fair.

We do shave tyres, and we take it extremely seriously. Tread depth, profiling and contact patch shape. It all matters.

But that’s only one part of what Racing Owl can offer. Tyre shaving is great prep work, but once the tyre is on track, it starts acting.

Temperatures shift.
Wear forms.
Pressures fluctuate.
Balance changes.

As Tyre Performance Engineers, that’s where we focus.

We work on-track with drivers and teams in club and historic motorsport to help interpret clearly what the tyre is doing, and turn that into clear direction:

• What to adjust
• What not to chase
• When the tyre is the limiting factor
• When the setup is hurting you

In club racing, you don’t get infinite sessions to experiment. You need clarity, quickly.

Tyre shaving is one of the tools we use, but tyre performance is our focus.

Pole. Fastest lap. Win. Spa Six Hours. 🏆

Massive congratulations to our customers and friends at @era.motorsport on a clean sweep at the Spa Six Hours. In my opinion, it’s the most prestigious historic endurance race in Europe.

The pace was unreal by @philkeenracing and Olly Bryant, and I’m incredibly proud to have been trusted by team manager @kanetilley to do the tyre preparation for the car and to have played a small part in a huge victory.

Post race feedback: “Thank you for some fast as f*** tyres.” I’ll take that. 🦉

🏆 OUR FIRST TROPHY OF 2026! 🏆

…and it was given out before the racing even started! We were super excited to hand out our award for the ‘Best Prepped Car’ to Project Sixty Three racing who turned up to Brands Hatch with this stunning racecar, both outside and in.

This award could really have gone to more than half our grid, with teams taking car preparation very seriously in the @c1racingclub as we look to present the shiniest grid in UK motorsport, every race.

🎄 Christmas Message – Mazda MX5’s 🎄

As our first full season comes to a close, I would like to extend my sincere thanks to everyone in the @brscc_hq paddock who placed their trust in me throughout the year.

Iam extremely grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in what have been some significant achievements. None of the results would be possible without the dedication, commitment, and talent of the drivers and teams themselves.

Some highlights from the season:

• @pimmers98 – MX5 Clubman Champion 🏆
• @jw6_racing_ – P2 in MX5 Clubman, and along with Jordan, a good friend on and off track
• @jamesseale_racing – Championship Rookie Champion
• @mattflowers22 – First podium in Mazdas
• A special mention to @harrydeane289, a genuinely great person to work with, and I hope to see you on track more in 2026

On the team side, a big thank you to @garage_38racing and Matt for trusting me to engineer for you throughout the season and just being a great friend overall. It really means a lot.

Thank you to @mistyraceteam and @go4itmx5racing for your trust and support this year, it has been very much appreciated.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, my thanks to @bromleymotorsport_ for helping me develop as an engineer this season and for the opportunity to manage the team’s tyre requirements.

I also want to say thank you to everyone for their patience while I got fully up to speed with the tyre shaving machine I’ve designed and built myself. Developing a new proprietary machine has its challenges, and I genuinely appreciate the understanding shown along the way. We’re in a really good place now, and I’m excited about where it goes next.

I am extremely proud of what has been achieved this year, and look forward to building on it in the seasons ahead. It's a privilege to support such a strong, friendly, and competitive paddock.

🥇The racing gods were finally on our side 🙌

At the team’s debut European outing - made possible after being approached by @jlmotorsportltd to run their car and engineer their Euro Class entry - JLM by RABSport claimed the UK class win and an impressive 3rd overall at the C1 Eurocup 24h @autodromodoalgarve 🏁

A huge shoutout to our fellow competitors @bpc.motorsport for an incredible battle right to the final hour and massive thanks to @racingowl for outstanding tyre support across the weekend. 💯

🇬🇧 SPA SIX HOUR RACE REPORT - Sitting pretty in P4 overall and P2 in class — with the fastest lap in class — when the engine let go. Testing had already been hampered by balancing issues outside our control, after some set up changes, the pace was clear. A frustrating end, but plenty of learning on tyres, setup, and strategy to take forward, and proof that the Elan, @olimeurens and @raphaeldeborman has the speed when it counts!!

On occupait une superbe P4 au général et la P2 de classe — avec le meilleur tour de la catégorie — quand le moteur a rendu l’âme. Les essais avaient déjà été perturbés par des problèmes d’équilibrage hors de notre contrôle, mais après quelques ajustements de setup, le rythme était évident. Fin frustrante, certes, mais beaucoup d’enseignements à tirer sur les pneus, les réglages et la stratégie… et surtout la preuve que l’Elan @olimeurens et @raphaeldeborman ont la vitesse quand il le faut. taken in Spa Francorchamps Circuit by @racingowl
