R-Custom Diaries | 002 | Jules Ellis

Three years away from racing. Four full @ironmantri already completed. For Leeds, Jules wanted to find out if there was still some life left in the old dog. 👀

After securing sponsorship through work, he came to us with a clear direction for his new R-Custom suit: white up top, black below, with fluorescent yellow racing colours combined with his work’s blue. Then we made it personal.

🐉 Welsh dragon on the right sleeve for home.
🌹 Yorkshire rose on the left for Leeds, but more importantly for his partner and the support she’d given throughout the build.

And his children’s names incorporated into the suit as a reminder of who he wanted to set an example for.

Jules started triathlon in 2019 with the goal of completing an Ironman, despite having to pretty much learn to swim and not having run since school. He’s now completed four.

Leeds didn’t quite go to plan. Blue-green algae meant the swim was cancelled but after three years away, Jules wasn’t letting that ruin the day.

Three years away. Still plenty of life in the old dog. 🤝
