Wilderness (Short Film)

Directed by Rakim K. Habib

Music Production: Oneil Daley @oneiladjr_
Camera operator: Adil Habib @luvsincerely_
Editing: Me @rackrakim

A visual representation of isolation, of not always knowing exactly where you’re going, but choosing to trust that God’s plan is real and meant for you. I drew direct inspiration from Exodus, where the Israelites leave Egypt, are set apart from cultural norms and patterns, and are called to trust the way of the Lord.

This film is a modern depiction of that journey, set in my own environment.

THE PLAN (Micro Film)

“A meeting between me and Oneil, OD, as I know him. We’ve known each other for nearly five years now, and he’s family to me. We first met working in a warehouse in Greenford (West London), and since then, we’ve built a close bond, collaborating on multiple projects along the way.”

“We were discussing plans for a documentary I’m currently producing called Green Pillar. At one point, the conversation turned reflective. We spoke about how far we’ve come as artists, and how nothing we’ve experienced, even the things that didn’t go as planned, have been in vain. We’re here today because of the choices we made yesterday, and that in itself is a blessing.”
