One day, while returning from working out at the school, I had to take a detour due to the construction of the new junior high, and it took me right past a flower bed. I glanced down and saw these pretty flowers, so I snapped a quick pic. When I got home, I noticed what a lucky shot I had captured. The insides actually look like they are glowing from the morning sun hitting them just right. So much beauty around us to admire. I guess what I’m saying is…take the picture; paint the picture; draw the picture; imagine the picture! You just might get lucky.

Some of my favorite shots occur out of serendipity. I was trying to see which switches were on/off at my workstation, so I stuck my phone back there and blindly took this pic. Art is everywhere.

I fear the lens through which we view the world around us has become distorted, broken, stepped on, and crushed underneath the heels of our own narrow, closed-minded thinking. #nofilter

It has been a while since I’ve done an actual post. This was so much more fun when it was a photography sharing app, however, progress and change (evolution!) are indeed inevitable, huh? As this morphed into a social media selfie storm, I attempted to keep posting cool photos in the midst of it. However, once it transfigured into some type of socio-political platform that it seems to be, now, I have just mainly done the daily story thing. I miss posting my amateur photos that I think look cool. Perhaps I should get back at it for my own satisfaction, if for nothing else. 😏

This little guy looks like he’s on top of the world! Wherever you’re at, may you feel the same way.

Well, I could barely see it with my binoculars, but my iPhone had no problem.

Got a few good “trigger-finger” captures tonight. The skies were cooperating!

The dance of spring is in full swing.
I think this is a juvenile garden spider that was on my truck mirror. I couldn’t pass up the cool visual it created.

One of my favorite shots from this afternoon. Kinda fitting that it fell on a “Moon”day, huh? #nofilter

Kind of neat…almost feels like looking inside of an atom or something. Zooming in is cool, too. #nofilter #eclipseglasses #eclipse2024 taken in Grand Saline, Texas by @racollins98

From New Year’s Day in Arkansas.
Columnar ice crystals formed on these thorn bushes overnight as the clouds/fog rolled in with a temperature drop.

The sky finally got tired of raining on us and just decided to lay down for a while. This was at 6:00 tonight!
