THE FIRST HALF: ‘26
1. Harvard was always going to see me✨Literally minding the business that pays me.
2. I think I might open a flower cart one day
3. Returning to AZ almost 3 years after moving away & seeing my girls was so sweet. Did my heart good seeing everyone. @grateful_heart_08 @love_lakenyia. Can’t believe we forgot to get photos @dionapetkov @marilyniam 🤍
4. Seeing Raye live. The best birthday gift!
5. When you go back to college full-time after a 20+ year hiatus & make the President’s list.
6. @mads.eatz is so incredible. My birthday cake…and it was gluten free!
7. Jill is running a strict program, so it was a phone free show. SO good & a bucket list artist I was finally able to see.
8. Spring flowers in my garden. I am in my garden era for sure!
9. The farmer’s market gets all my coins
10. Bows are still in over here
11. Chain, over-hyped coffee spot? Yes, please. The banana cloud matcha latte still has me in a chokehold. Months later.
12. I love living in Tennessee. Definitely made the right choice.
13. My favorite place to decompress
14. I’m never getting rid of my (elder) millennial denim jacket. So there’s that.
15. Birthday flowers. Peonies. Everything.
16. A Parisian birthday gift until I can make it back. My people know me.
17. (Possible) future campus visit. I felt like I was eighteen again?! Lol. Transferring is interesting.

2025. This was a working/head down/planting/pruning/stretching/testing year for me. It was everything, everywhere, all at once. Full range of emotions. Sharing some of my favorite moments, meals, and memories in this carousel.

As my days being 40 come to a close, I had to give my beautiful half birthday brunch a spot on my grid.

Since I was in Paris & London when I turned 40, I threw this 40.5 brunch back in October of last year for my closest loved ones. I wanted to share this special birthday with them, so a half birthday party it was! (There are no rules for how to live your life. Do what you want.)

It was right on time, and I’m so grateful I was able to celebrate my milestone birthday, back home in Detroit, with such a phenomenal group of women in a special room full of love & affirmation. ✨

Turning 40 in Paris was a dream come true. I’ve been planning how I wanted to feel, where I wanted to be, and how I wanted to show up for myself as I stepped into my 40s for a couple of years. Paris has always been on my bucket list. I figured there was no better time to make this trip happen than for my 40th. I am fortunate & privileged to be in a position to do this for myself and love that I was able to. The Lord has been good to me, and it’s definitely my season.

I had the time of my life wandering around Paris & London for my birthday week. Everything about this trip was top notch & luxury…cause…well that’s just me! IYKYK.
