Shoreline Shredder came out swinging.

Race 1 of BASP brought the energy to start off the season and reminded us pretty quickly why we love cyclocross season so much.

Fast racing, plenty of heckling, tacos, people hanging out in the grass, and a whole lot of familiar faces back together again. From the first race of the morning to the last one of the afternoon, you all made Shoreline Shredder a pretty great way to kick off the 2026 BASP season.

Thank you to everyone who came out to race, cheer, volunteer, bring the family, ring a cowbell, or just spend the day with us. The community is what makes these races what they are, and Sunday was a good reminder of that.

A huge thank you to our super photographers @gene_torno and @mybucketsgottaholeinit for being out there capturing the racing, suffering, smiles, and questionable cyclocross decisions throughout the day.

Race 2 is already happening THIS WEEKEND.

We’ve spent the past few days acclimating to the Bavarian atmosphere with help from our friends at @schneiderweisse and our base camp @ritterschaenke_burg_randeck. Tomorrow we have two teams and our favorite chef racing for 24 hours straight in the heart of Bavaria with the goal of pushing our legs and each other to the limit so that our first post-race biers together are ones we’ll never forget. We’ve been racing and recycling costumes for Halloween @surfcitycx for 15 years now. Many of the costumes and some of the riders have since retired but we keep going thanks to fresh blood and short memories. by @radhaus_racing

Surf City Halloween double-header is this weekend. Our favorite weekend of racing and shenanigans of the year. This creepy black and white set is from our own Sebastian (@karreth_ ) who we befriended the inaugural year while camping at the tree farm. Come party with us. by @radhaus_racing

This is a resurgent season for our team. We’ve got new blood and a few of the old guard are coming through to race for the first time in years. Suffering at max intensity with slim error margins is not an easy thing to fall back into, even for those who show up every season.

Shoutout to everyone for keeping this cx fever dream alive. Especially the @baspcyclocross and @saccyclocross promoters, volunteers, and photographers. If you’re on the fence about racing, hit us up and let us peer pressure you into having some weird fun.

Big news! The Shoreline Shredder now has an official hand-up beer sponsor! @radhaus_sf! Because nothing says “I love cyclocross” like a foamy German Bier shoved into your sweaty mitts mid-race.

Radhaus isn’t just a prime Fort Mason beerhall with Golden Gate Bridge views—it’s also been the secret training grounds for an amateur cycling team, Radhaus Racing. Yep, your favorite spot for pretzels and pints has riders out grinding all season long at the Bay Area Super Prestige Series!

Bay Area cyclocross is coming to a close and we are excited to announce that the Radhaus Racing team will finish up their cyclocross season this weekend. It’s been a great series of races for our riders and we are throwing a thank you party to celebrate another incredible year. Our racers made the podium nearly every race, and took home several first place positions in the Bay Area Super Prestige Series overall.

So, make plans to join us on Sunday the 15th at 4:00pm to party with our awesome team. We will have great beer specials, a super DJ, and will be releasing an exciting limited-edition Cyclocross Racing T-shirt. Come on down and join us for a toast to our amazing athletes.

A few shots from the first half of the season. Those 100+ degree days seem like a distant memory. Tomorrow we kick off part 2 with possible cross conditions, ie, mud, in Sacramento.
