Hey there 👋 I'm Laura.

I’m a weight-inclusive, non-diet dietitian who helps people untangle their relationship with food, body image, and chronic health conditions - without restriction, shame, or diet culture BS.

I support people living with PCOS, endometriosis, perimenopause, and complex chronic conditions like POTS, MCAS and ME/CFS. Your symptoms are real, and you deserve care from someone that gets it.

If you're lucky, Popcorn and Pretzel (my cats, not my snacks) might make a guest appearance during your session. Launching August 26th 🤩 Meet Laura

Want to know what it’s like to see a non-diet dietitian? Honestly, it’s kind of like having a chat with a friend who just ✨gets it✨

My job is to create a safe space where you can be honest about what’s going on without fear of judgment or pressure.

I can help you make sense of challenges, brainstorm solutions, and figure out what actually works for you. I don’t have all the answers, but sometimes just having someone to listen and really believe you can make a world of difference. You understand your body better than anyone, and you get to call the shots.

Wanna vent about how awful diet culture is? Need to have a good cry about how exhausting managing your symptoms can be? Or just talk about cats for 20 minutes straight? I’m here for all of it. Saying it out loud can bring clarity, relief, and a little peace of mind. You’re not alone in this and I’ve got your back. Kind & gentle advice you’d expect from your bestie, but like, in a professional way

PCOS power duo reporting for duty 💪 Fighting insulin resistance, soothing inflammation, and quietly restoring hormone harmony.

Reminder: Supplements can be super helpful, but they’re not one-size-fits-all. Check in with your dietitian before giving them a try so that you can make sure they’re a good fit for you. inositol & NAC
the ultimate pcos power duo

She just effortlessly glows, and brings hormone harmony - just by showing up to the party.

She’s strategic, sharp, and always 10 steps ahead of inflammation. An anti-inflammatory force to be reckoned with. by @radical.nutrition

Excess androgens, and their bestie insulin resistance, are basically the ultimate hormone troublemakers. They’re often behind the acne, hair drama, and cycle chaos that happens in PCOS.

The good news? There are ways to calm the drama and bring your body back a little more balance.

Just a reminder: everything I share here is for general information, not personalised advice. For support tailored to you, get in touch. I’d love to help. And if you're lucky, Popcorn and Pretzel might drop in to say hello 😻😻 What’s the deal with excess
androgens? ...and where did all
this hair come from?!

What if we all ate like cats? 🐾
No guilt. Just vibes. A little stretch, a little snack, a little nap. Repeat as needed.

Share your cat inspired purr-ls of wisdom in the comments 🩷 Have you ever tried eating like a cat?

Insulin resistance can feel overwhelming, but the truth is: small changes can make a big difference.

You don’t need to overhaul your diet or swear off your favourite foods. By pairing carbs with protein, fibre, and fat, you can support your blood sugar, energy, and hormones in a way that feels balanced and sustainable.

As with all info I share here, this is for general informational purposes only, not personalised advice. If you’d like guidance tailored to you, please reach out. I’d love to help! Insulin resistance part 2: how nutrition can help

Eat regularly (and enough)
Before you roll your eyes and scroll on, hear me out! Skipping meals or under-fuelling can send your blood glucose, mood, and hormones into full meltdown mode.

Eating regularly can help to prevent big swings in blood glucose levels and keep energy levels up. This might look like 3 meals and some snacks. Or some snacks and nourishing drinks if you’re appetite is a bit lower.

It’s ok to keep it simple.
Eating regularly and enough is a signal to our body that we are safe and don’t need to go hunting for food, or stress about where the next meal is coming from. by @radical.nutrition

Insulin resistance & PCOS – the plot twist nobody warned you about.

It’s not just about blood sugar. And yes, it can happen in any body size, and even if your blood sugar looks totally normal.

It may feel like a hormone hurricane, but your body’s on your side, trying its hardest.

Stay tuned for part 2 👀 I'll share some gentle, supportive ways to improve insulin sensitivity and help ease those pesky PCOS symptoms. Insulin resistance
Part 1: why it happens in PCOS

The main characters of PCOS are basically the ultimate high school clique.

Inflammation, stress, insulin resistance, excess androgens… they love scheming, sabotaging, and stirring up drama.

Meanwhile, your ovaries are just trying to get through the day without a meltdown and end up screaming with frustration "it's not my fault you're like in love with me or something!"
