💫Yesterday was special!💫 I had the opportunity to hang out and have lunch with my brother, @vashawnmitchell. I’m so grateful for our connection for over 30 years. We encourage each other & share wisdom nuggets regarding life, ministry, etc.

Vashawn, you have made an incredible impact in the Kingdom through your music ministry and your faithful dedication and service to God & His people. Our lives are better because of it! Your ministry and life’s example will be celebrated and remembered for decades to come!

💫I was blessed to lead worship and sing the sermonic song at Cascade United Methodist Church (Midtown) this morning. I was asked to lead one of my favorite classic gospel songs, Changed by The Hawkins Family. The Lord made His presence known and I’m grateful.

💫Dr. Murriel, the leaders and congregation were kind, receptive and encouraging. I met Pastor after church. He told me he was watching the livestream while riding and was rushing to join us in worship!

💫I’m so delighted to bless Felicia with a special birthday gift today! She told my that my wellness journey inspires her so she has started her own. She’s losing pounds, inches, wearing smaller sizes and improving her mental and emotional health!

I was feeling a little blah last night and needed some music therapy so I went to see my college friend and brother perform. It was just what I needed! It’s amazing how music soothes the soul!

✨As September is coming to a close, I’m so grateful for all that I experienced during my birthday month! The love, kind words, beautiful gifts, surprises, great music, the presence of incredible people and so much more!

✨I lost my mom at 29 and she was 46. The enemy taunted me for years and told my I would not live past her age. I was bound by fear and had to constantly resist the lies! To see how God has been faithful to preserve my life and give me the discipline to reclaim my health by reversing diabetes and high blood pressure caused by perimenopause is a MIRACLE! Losing 88 lbs is just an added bonus and I’m forever grateful!

✨I always celebrate my birthday but not with a party. This year, my daughter strongly encouraged me to have one and I’m so glad I did! I’m blessed to have amazing relationships with some phenomenal people who joined me in celebrating and it was more than I expected. Some met each other for the first time but it felt like family in one room! The laughter, singing, dancing, great food and conversations made it a night to remember!

✨I want to thank everyone who celebrated with me! My beautiful children: Devin, Donovan & Victoria, Kim, Sabrina, Tange, LaTonya, Brien, Felicia, Nikki, Abe, Deena and Brinson. Special thanks to Jaylen Nelson who’s like a bonus son for capturing the special moments. I’m forever grateful to each of you and will always cherish the memories.
