You are still worthy of care. Your feelings are still valid. You are still more than what you accomplish, and you don’t have to be okay every moment to keep moving through a difficult season.

When you’re struggling, try to remember that a hard day is a moment—not your entire story. by @radicalwellbeingcenter

About Me:
Hey there! My name is Ryan, and I’m a Limited License Master’s of Social Work (LLMSW) with a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from University of Michigan. I have years of experience in the field of Social Work working on behavioral health with adolescents, assisting LGBTQ+ students with building community on campus, resourcing for homeless folks, and providing assistance to families within the child welfare system. Queer, neurodivergent and love to play D&D, video games, white water rafting, and to support all the Detroit sports!

Our Space:
Our lives are filled with crossroads that often can stress, confuse, or activate us. Leaving us feeling isolated, misunderstood, or frustrated about what lies before us. Which requires us a space to explore, engage and process all that we are experiencing. Our space that will represent “Come as you are”. Where you are encouraged to be your authentic self without the barriers and expectations often found in our day-to-day lives. You are the expert on you, which is something I am humbled and honored to get to know during our sessions. Sessions where we can collaborate alongside your journey of restorative healing.

Approach:
My work is centered around empowering my clients by utilizing their strengths and resiliency. It’s my goal to develop a secure therapeutic relationship that gives us the space, and frameworks to achieve the goals you have set. I utilize many different theoretical frameworks and integrate them into our approach based on what may work best for you. Such as narrative therapy, emotion-focused therapy, and somatic therapy. All underneath an anti-oppression framework.

Specialties: Neurodivergence, LGBTQ+, grief & loss, life changes, polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, sex related challenges, anxiety, depression, narrative therapy, emotion focused therapy, collaborative therapy. by @radicalwellbeingcenter

Mary Sarah Thomason, M.A., L.L.P.C., A.T.R.-P., is a counselor and art therapist, ceremonialist, Reiki Master and integrative energy worker, birth and death doula, visual artist, and performer. Mary brings these different ways of knowing into a holistic, client-centered approach to healing that honors the body, soul, mind, and spirit. She works primarily with adults and has a particular passion for working with women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and people navigating trauma, PTSD, grief, anxiety, depression, identity, relational challenges, and personality-related concerns.
Mary is the creator of Integrative Experiential Theory and the Integrative Experiential Continuum (IET/IEC), an emerging framework for understanding holistic healing through the integration of somatic, emotional, relational, cognitive, symbolic, and spiritual experience. Her work begins with the body—supporting regulation and a deeper felt sense of safety—and expands into connection with self, others, community, spirit, and life. Through art therapy, mindfulness, somatic and body-based practices, parts-informed work, and other expressive and symbolic approaches, Mary supports clients in making meaning of their experiences and developing greater freedom and flexibility in how they move through the world.
Mary’s work is also deeply informed by lived experience. Having navigated mental health struggles since childhood, suicidality, addiction, trauma, profound grief, and her own ongoing processes of healing and transformation, she understands healing as more than something learned from a textbook. These experiences inform the compassion and humanity she brings into the therapeutic relationship while honoring that every client’s story, meaning, and path belong uniquely to them. by @radicalwellbeingcenter

Hi! My name is Tahlia and I am a Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP). I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University in 2025. I am a queer, biracial therapist, who prioritizes creating a warm and compassionate environment for all people. I work with individuals of all walks of life, but I am most passionate about and experienced in working with children, queer people, and those who practice consensual nonmonogamy and polyamory.

I approach therapy in a manner that is strength-based and person-centered; I believe that you are the expert of your own life, and that it is my job to help you find empowerment through your own strengths. However you choose to participate in your therapeutic experience is encouraged. Sometimes we feel like laughing, joking, yelling, or traveling inward, and any way you feel called to show up, I will meet you there. I aim to create a safe environment in which you are able to feel vulnerable, seen, heard, and above all, understood. I believe that one of the best predictors of successful therapy is a positive therapeutic alliance between clinician and client, which I prioritize building with my clients through trust and mutual respect.

It is my goal to support clients as they explore themselves in any capacity that serves them; identity, relationships, self-concept, distress management, and beyond. I use an eclectic blend of evidence-based practices such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), parts work, somatic therapy, and humanistic psychotherapy to help clients navigate their unique experiences and challenges. I look forward to working with you and walking alongside you in your therapeutic journey.

Age range: 4 years old and older

Areas of specialty: Children, personality disorders, LGBTQIA+, nonmonogamy and polyamory, ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, trauma, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and sex positivity. by @radicalwellbeingcenter

Hi! I’m Zeinab, a Clinical Psychology doctoral student with a background in social work. What I enjoy most about this work is getting to know people beyond the symptoms or challenges that brought them to therapy. There is always more to someone’s story, and I believe our relationships, families, culture, past experiences, and environments all shape how we see ourselves and move through the world.

I have experience working with children and adolescents in both therapy and neuropsychological assessment. Through this work, I have supported young individuals with concerns related to anxiety, emotional regulation, attention, learning, executive functioning, self-esteem, school stress, and social or friendship difficulties. My experience in neuropsychological assessment has also given me a deeper understanding of how children think, learn, process information, and experience the world differently. I bring that perspective into therapy by recognizing that what works for one child may not work for another. I also enjoy working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem difficulties, and major life changes. I have a special interest in women’s mental health, including pregnancy, postpartum experiences, motherhood, and the many emotional and identity changes that can come with these stages of life.

Our Work Together:

I recognize that culture, family, faith, identity, relationships, and community can play a meaningful role in our lives. I value taking the time to understand what these parts of your life mean to you and how they may connect to what brings you to therapy. by @radicalwellbeingcenter
