One thing you should know about me, is that I will always fight for diversity, equity and inclusion. In my home and my business, this is celebrated.

A little personal update, since life and work have overlapped more than usual lately.

In July, we learned that a meningioma (benign brain tumor) Lauren had surgically removed several years ago has slowly grown back. After a lot of appointments, scans and conversations with her doctors, she is now scheduled for Gamma Knife radiation in January at UVA.

We feel very good about the team taking care of her and are hopeful about the road ahead, but as you can imagine, it has taken up quite a bit of our headspace and time.

I’m continuing to work and photograph, but I also wanted to share this because there may be times when emails, editing or gallery delivery take me a little longer than usual. I’m incredibly grateful for the patience and kindness people have already shown us.

For now, we’re enjoying having our girls around whenever we can and taking things one step at a time.

Sending you all light and love. by @radiferaphotography

Green is having a moment, and this room would like it noted that it got here first.

Elegance. This gorgeous bathroom has inset mirrors in molding, custom cabinetry with a built-in tower tucked behind the shower, mosaic marble floors.

Eggplant, aubergine, mullberry, wine, berry, plum...whatever you want to call it, the color purple is emerging as a staple in our projects. And we couldn't be happier this fall to add that layer of warmth, depth and coziness to our clients' spaces! Sharing just a few examples- by @radiferaphotography

Always fun to see good people get well-deserved recognition. @dgparchitects, a longtime Charlottesville client, was recently named by Forbes as one of Virginia’s top architects! I was pretty excited to see one of my photographs leading the feature.
Congratulations to the whole team! It is always a pleasure photographing your work!

A Bright New Outlook, in more ways than one.

For this Spring Valley, Washington, DC home, the art came first. From there: fewer pieces, better ones; a restrained palette; beautifully made furniture; and rooms designed to make space for the collection, the trees outside, and the family actually living here.

In July, I had way too much fun channeling a little James Bond with longtime client Jamie Merida, complete with a boat and a fast car.
Jamie’s furniture collection with Chelsea House will be at High Point Market this October: “a gentleman’s take on classic design, newly shaken.” Head to my stories to see a few more images.

The most fabulous kitchen for a client who LOVES to cook, bake and entertain! The entire kitchen used to fit in the now pantry! We are so happy with how this project came together and working the client was such a lovely collaborative process. She had a vision and we made it happen!

Swipe for the starting point 👀

A kitchen designed to feel classic, with a fresh, modern touch.

Featuring Plato Woodwork’s beautiful Dover flush-inset cabinetry, this bright & light space blends rich dark tones with soft, airy hues for a perfectly balanced look.

Back behind the camera this week for three days of interior shoots with one of my longtime clients, which had me looking back at this project we photographed together.

One of the perks to working with designers over time is getting to know what matters to them, the details they’ve labored over, and how they want a finished project to feel.

My job is to photograph what makes each home feel unique. From the larger spaces to the smaller details, craftsmanship, color, and all those little moments that give it personality.

A few favorites from this project we photographed last year.

If you’re a designer, architect or builder with a project nearing completion, I’d love to hear what you’re working on!
