Around the bend, on The Riverbank : Women of Folk Music
•
I'll be showcasing an all women, trans, femme show for @kuaaradio on Monday, August 31. Tune in to hear trailblazers like Elizabeth Cotton & Jean Ritchie, mysterious madames like Karen Dalton & Vashti Bunyan, as well as contemporary acts such as Kara Jackson, Ada Lea & Sunny War.
•
We will also be paying tribute to one of our queens, the incredible and important Dolly Parton.
•
The design for this is a carved lino cut pressed on handmade paper from @andrehoggan and then glitched in the digital realm but I thought the glitch was dynamic so here we are.
•
See you on the shore 📻🐊

•
What does DIY mean to you? We answer that and much much more from @craftlakecity DIY fest
•
I've never done much radio journalism so this is a new endeavor for me but I'd rather share what I learned than hold it back. Remember I'm just a gardener by trade with a passion for story telling 📖
•
Post recap we will be chillin stream side on the river bank and delving into the exploration of folk music and beyond. Plus we will travel to the Niger River to listen to the music of Lionel Loueke as he is set to take the stage with Herbie Hancock this Thursday at Red Butte.
