🇱🇺 HOW DID A MAN FROM TINY LUXEMBOURG END UP RUNNING THE WORLD?🌐

𝗚𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗻’𝘀 career took him from resisting the Nazi occupation as a teenager to some of the biggest political stages imaginable.

He became:
🔹𝗣𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 of Luxembourg,
🔸presided over the 𝗨𝗡 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆,
🔹and eventually took charge of the 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻.

But Thorn’s story is also something bigger: a reminder that 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆’𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 isn’t necessarily measured in square kilometres or population.

🇱🇺TRAIN STOP ON A HISTORIC RAILWAY TURNED RESTAURANT🚂👨🏻‍🍳

"Charly" was a railway operating between Luxembourg city and Echternach in 1904-1954: it spanned 45 km and 16 stops, one of which – Luxembourg Park – was turned into the restaurant Bonne Nouvelle @bonnenouvellebar we know today. The spot has been run for the past 4 years by the team that won an open call for restoration projects by Ville de Luxembourg @villedeluxembourg. The principle of continuity at its finest♻️
