Hardgroove is having a moment. From Ben Sims’ foundational imprint to the current wave led by producers like Chlär and Yanamaste, the style—defined by its percussive density, funky swing and relentless groove—has been reclaiming dancefloors across Europe and South America.

In China, it‘s been conspicuously absent. Until now.

Hardgroove Mania launches as the country’s first party label dedicated to the sound. Founded by Guso and Onyx, the project traces back to an impromptu B2B at ALL Club, where the pair discovered their collections shared a deep vein of hardgroove records. What started as a late-night message—”let‘s do a hardgroove party“—evolved into months of digging and rehearsals at Dirty House.

The debut lands July 3 at EXIT Club, with GUSO · Onyx · DJ EBP · SITU · Ziyi behind the decks. Expect a range that pulls from funk, tribal, Latin, Berlin and Detroit schools—united by a single focus: groove.
