We can't wait to commence the first phase of our much anticipated in-house stop motion internship programme on the 31st of July, 2026, emanating from our highly successful stop motion animation symposium and workshops at Yaba College of Technology and Pan Atlantic University Lagos with the support of @franceinnigeria, @berlinaletalents and @access_more The build up is absolutely exciting; putting up new spaces, furniture and equipment for the new folks. From the ball and socket armature engineering to 3d printing, felt and silicone casts, alonside building sets, animation techniques and everything in-between. We are going all out. Digging deep to grow it bigger, while working with folks who truly love the art.What a practical time in history, to explore the value of raw human originality. Looking forward big time! It's been a week already and the experience at @annecyfestival continues to resonate deeply in so many beautiful ways. From sharing our progressive milestones in supporting the stop motion ecosystem across Africa and beyond, through high quality infrastructure and training, to connecting with folks who have continued to revolutionize the world of stop motion. The MIFA Annecy panel holds today, bringing together powerful new voices in stop motion, and yes! We feel that sense of gratitude for how far we've come building stop motion infrastructure for emerging ecosytems around the world. I'm honoured beyond words to share elements of our fundamental work and Africa's stop motion infrastructural advancement on a panel highlighting 'New Voices in Stop Motion' at @annecyfestival in France; and speaking alongside storytellers expanding the flavours of stop motion around the world still feels like a dream.Clearly, our boots on ground, to match global standards of stop motion animation and advance these specific pathways for beautiful African stories has not gone unseen. Facilitating the stop motion workshop at the Toontopia Children's Animation Festival alongside my most amazing team @radioxitymedia, wasn't just a beautiful experience but a crucial part of sustained stop motion growth in Sub-Saharan Africa.Children didn't only watch incredible animated films, but learnt how to make them. From digital animation, stop-motion, to painting, illustrations and drawing. They absolutely loved our ball and socket armatures!Not so many times in my life have I had so much hope going forward like watching these young people empowered to reinvent the future of our nation, telling engaging African stories to the world.Proud of you @damisolesi. The participants of our series of groundbreaking stop motion animation events in Lagos were absolute MVP's.It’s been beautiful previewing the amazing stop motion animated sequences produced by these participants of the Radioxity Stop Motion Animation Symposium and Workshops. Folks didn't just listen and learn, they are doing really exciting stuff. It wasn’t just words, we are experiencing a shift and this feels quite emotional. And we are looking forward to bigger stuff coming around the continent and beyond. The third and final day of the Radioxity Stop Motion Animation Workshop 2026 at the Pan Atlantic University further highlighted strong possibilities towards amazing stop motion careers telling African stories, as well as the fact that our ball and socket armatures are here to stay. The students made beautiful sequences and didn't want to stop. Every single speaker and panelist delivered a blast of inspiration and strategic information.
