This 2-minute microwave cinnamon roll gives you a warm, single-serve spiral treat with zero yeast and virtually no cleanup.
• Total Time: 3 minutes
• Yield: 1 single-serving mug treat
Ingredients
• Dough: 4 tbsp all-purpose flour, ¼ tsp baking powder, a pinch of salt, 2 tbsp milk, and 1 tbsp melted butter (plus a tiny drop of oil or spray to grease the mug)
• Filling: 1 tbsp brown sugar, ¼ tsp ground cinnamon, and ½ tsp melted butter
• Glaze: 1–2 tbsp powdered sugar and 1 tsp milk
Instructions
1. Grease Mug: Lightly spray or rub a microwave-safe mug with a bit of oil or butter.
2. Mix Dough: In the mug (or a small bowl), stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the milk and 1 tablespoon of melted butter, stirring just until a soft, workable dough forms.
3. Roll & Fill: Turn the dough onto a floured surface and pat or roll it into a small strip. Mix the filling ingredients (brown sugar, cinnamon, and ½ tsp melted butter), spread it over the dough, roll it up into a tiny log, and place it spiral-side up back into the mug.
4. Microwave: Microwave on high for 60 to 75 seconds (adjust slightly based on your microwave's power; don't overcook or it can toughen).
5. Glaze: Whisk the powdered sugar and milk together, then drizzle over the warm roll.
