So, I had a beer & had an epiphany I had to write down:

This path of mine is full of darkness and solitude. Misfortune has been my only company.
It’s distanced all the people who came to know me.
I have risen to the grandiose heights of enlightenment and the lowest of the low.
The latter has taught me more about myself & this world than the blinding light of God.
Greed and betrayal of my principles have wrought a tightening chain around my neck.
I come from, & have had nothing. Falsehood and deceit have protected me thus far.
Traversing this long journey we call life is far more difficult than many of us are aware.
Ignoring tomorrow and frolicking in the present will not suffice for this tormented soul.
The weight I carry is a gift I can’t renounce.
Many are driven mad by it—or worse.
“Without light or guide, save that which burned in my heart” (St. John of the Cross).
I must live up to the best in me so far as is possible.
To one day rest peacefully upon the bosom of freedom.

I came up with a theory for the branch of metaphysics called “Telephoning” or “The
Telephone Effect” whereby you can communicate with your other selves across different eras. You heard it here first folks. lol by @radnpx

Another year that’s been good to me. There were a ton of ups and downs—more downs than ups, for sure. Looking back though, I am truly grateful for the learning experiences I encountered. Negativity and darkness were the primary themes throughout. I met my worst enemy: my shadow. My fate and ideals were shattered. I descended into and languished in the dark labyrinths of the soul. Only there did I find hope—no longer blinded by light or darkness, I can now see through them.

Self-awareness is a gift. I let the worst of my psychology take hold of me. It interfered with my objectives, and as a result, I failed to see them through. I lost a lot of friends and became increasingly isolated. Yet, in the depths of despair, I found balance. The shadows now walk and laugh with me, as do the angels.

I am slowly recovering my animated vitality and focusing more on my physical health and long term goals. Virtue lies in perseverance. I am here for the long run—unless Fate decrees otherwise. Whatever the gods have in store for me, I accept humbly. May I continue to write my story and remain faithful and humble before your wisdom.

P.S. I’m not virtue signaling in this post. I’m still an imperfect human being striving to be better and make a name for myself. :) by @radnpx
