My first time ever competing as a Bachata soloist… and what a crazy experience it was.🫢

I think the reason I enjoyed that moment so much was because nobody expected to see me there. Or at least, that’s what I thought. hehehe

Lately, I’ve been hearing the same questions over and over:
“Why are you dancing Bachata?”
“Aren’t you a salsa dancer?”

Yes… I am. And I always will be.

Salsa will forever be my top1. Nothing will ever replace it.

But loving Salsa doesn’t mean I can’t fall in love with other styles too, have fun, explore something different, and step outside my comfort zone once in a while.

At the end of the day, I just want to keep dancing… whatever makes me feel alive. 🫶🏼

I can’t really call this a regular class. It felt more like a movement LAB in Australiaaaaa 🇦🇺. @rumbiafestival

My goal wasn’t to teach a long sequence of steps. Instead, I wanted to create a safe space where people could explore, make mistakes, ask questions and start understanding movement for themselves, ofc with a little guidance from me along the way.

Where does a movement really begin? Why does it feel the way it does? And most importantly, why should each of us strive to be original instead of simply copying what we see?

Technique isn’t there to make everyone move the same. It’s the foundation that allows you to discover your own style, your own “movement”.
