I'm so proud of myself 🥰

I get so anxious when people watch me do things and I stood up in front of a huge crowd and cameras 3 TIMES! I also had NEVER done a ninja obstacle until a couple of weeks before filming and I was competing with women who had been training for YEARS.

People that know me will tell you I'm forever putting myself down, I can't take a compliment and I never think anything I do is good enough. Being proud of myself and happy for me is a BIG DEAL.

I'm so proud of every single one of the brave and badass competitors on this series. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to be on the show 📺

I conquered my fear of failure and I didn't just 'not fail' - I succeeded!!

I swear I'll stop going on about this at some point..

Despite spending most of my days in a state of crippling anxiety and insecurity about anything that I can over think, I do have quite a substantial list of objectively scary things that I have said yes to in my life.

This was one of those things.
When I can't say yes or when the invites stop coming, at least I can say that I seized opportunities when I could.

When I was asked by The North Face back in April if I wanted to participate in this event again I assumed they'd made some sort of mistake. I didn’t seem to fit into the categories of the other invited athletes.
- I'm not an exceptional climber
- I'm not an influencer
- I'm not even a face in the London competition scene any more
- I don't work in the industry
But apparently not. No mistake! They even put me up in a hotel and kept referring to me as a "guest of The North Face".

Seeing as I had 3.5 months to prepare, you'd think I would have done some endurance training for it because I normally tap out after 8 moves.
But I didn't (I'm a silly sausage)

Fortunately for me, the main goal isn't about performing well. It's about saying yes to things that scare me. It's about pushing myself mentally in a safe and controlled way so I can learn the tools to deal with all of the BIG SCARIES life throws at me and I can draw on those experiences for the future. I can use climbing as a space to practice really hard things that are challenging for me in life - there's a lot of value in that. Courage isn't the absence of fear, but rather moving forward in spite of it. I can’t be brave if I’m not afraid.

This is another thing I can be proud of.
This is another opportunity I can be grateful for. I got to climb with some of the best athletes in the world. I met some incredible people. I created amazing memories. I was inspired. It really felt like a beautiful celebration of community ✨️

After a little 14 month hiatus, I had the opportunity to get back in a jetsuit 🚀

This is such a humbling process.
I may not look very cool but I was having the MOST fun.
I even did a little 360 in both directions whilst in a hover - it may well be the slowest turn you've ever seen but you've gotta start from somewhere! 🧚‍♀️
