Street-scrap figure sculptures by @rae_bk RAE’s official trading card, ‘Wrap & Rest’, features in the inaugural @contemporary100 [Trading Cards] release, out now. ‘Wrap & Rest’ assembles reclaimed objects on wood using materials RAE gathered during walks through New York City and beyond. The work echoes his wider practice of collecting discarded metals, plastics and other urban objects and transforming them into sculptural figures and compositions. RAE often returns these works to public space, attaching figures to city structures where their placement, decay and chance interactions with passersby become part of the work. His practice extends across sculpture, murals, mixed-media painting and installation, drawing on found materials and his observations of everyday city life. @rae_bk’s trading card is randomly inserted throughout the release, with Foil Parallel variations and the chance to discover a signed 1-of-1. Available in randomized 10-card packs via the link in bio. by @rae_bk

VIRTUE SIGNALING: PART 2. __________________________ The second in a series of street art pieces that make up an open-air exhibition titled, “VIRTUE SIGNALING” A pervasive culture of superficiality. An effortless, symbolic posturing that defines our contemporary era. Yet here I am — with a labor intensive, alchemical process of transforming the physical debris of the city into heavy public monuments, emblazoned with my name all of over them. I hope this work stands as a transparent, walking paradox: a genuine, resource-heavy gift to the neighborhood that doubles as my own megaphone. #Rae #raebk #streetart #art #sculpture - graffiti - New York - Brooklyn - public art Thank You: @mike.ion @peru_ana_ana_peru @savage_stickers Music: KMRU by @rae_bk

BINGO IS A DISTRACTION (2025) What passes for connection at family gatherings when beliefs don’t align? Some retreat into trivial distractions— gestures that shield them from the heavier weight of conversation. These small rituals reflect the tension between presence and avoidance. Performed out of obligation, they offer a fragile peace, a way to keep things civil, to keep truths buried just beneath the surface. _____________________________ This room is part of RAE’s current exhibition, FARADAY CAGE. Upstate New York. On view until November 2025. “EGGMAN” (2025) Each TV channel presents a different version of the same reality. Truth exists— but it’s obscured, fractured by spin, opinion, and agenda. Isolation has made him more guarded, more self-reliant, even a bit paranoid. The constant stream of information feels like both a lifeline and a threat. Patriotism remains, but the symbols feel heavier— once potentially unifying, now uncertain. He responds to what’s immediate: inflation, fear, survival. The rising price of eggs became a symbol of something larger— a small burden that influenced a much bigger decision. His identity, rooted in masculinity, race, and tradition— feels less stable than before. He acts on instinct, overlooks harm done to others, and justifies it in the name of practicality. This room is part of RAE’s current exhibition, FARADAY CAGE. Upstate New York. On view until November 2025. Check bio for more information. ——————————————— VIDEO PRODUCTION: @visualalchemyllc ———————————————- #RAE #raebk #faradaycage #rae_faradaycage #streetart #exhibition #art #urbanfolkart #artinstallation #screenaddiction #kids #sculpture #timebasedart #painting #womensrights #media #news #fakenews #jimmykimmel #freespeech #facts #humanrights #politics #usa #newyork #ny #upstateny #kerhonkson #kerhonksonny #upstatenewyork by @rae_bk
