It’s a wrap for IQPC 2026 in Bangkok! 🇹🇭

Three days of learning, sharing, judging, and connecting with quality and productivity professionals from across the region. I leave Bangkok with new perspectives, meaningful connections, and an even stronger conviction that the future of quality will require us to think differently about how we build excellence.

It was a privilege to contribute to the International Quality & Productivity Convention (IQPC) 2026 in several capacities: as a speaker, competition judge, Champion Sharing Session presenter, and fellow learner.

I had the opportunity to share my perspective on “Systems Thinking: The Missing Link to Sustainable Quality Excellence,” and to present my Next-Gen Quality Framework, built around People, Data, and Purpose. Both conversations reflect something I deeply believe in: quality must continue evolving alongside the complexity, technology, expectations, and realities shaping organizations today.

Judging the competition was equally meaningful. Behind every project were teams solving real problems, challenging existing practices, and demonstrating that continuous improvement remains one of the most powerful forces for organizational transformation.

This experience was also special because it brought together different parts of the work I care deeply about: advancing the quality profession through the Philippine Society for Quality (PSQ), contributing to the global quality community through the International Academy for Quality (IAQ), and translating these ideas into leadership and organizational transformation through MindGrit.

Different platforms, but a shared purpose: to develop leaders, advance quality, and help build organizations ready for what comes next.

Thank you to the organizers, fellow speakers, judges, delegates, and new friends who made IQPC 2026 memorable.

Bangkok, you’ve been wonderful. 🇹🇭
Next year, the journey continues in Malaysia for IQPC 2027. 🇲🇾

Looking forward to reconnecting with the international quality community and continuing the conversations we started here. taken in Bangkok, Thailand by @raefremista

Tower of Vitality, Chengdu!

One of the most fascinating modern attractions I saw in Chengdu. Six towering columns come alive as water cascades from the top, illuminated by constantly changing lights that transform the entire installation at night.

There’s something mesmerizing about the combination of water, light, mist, and scale. Futuristic, dramatic, and unmistakably Chengdu.

A walk through history in Chengdu. 🇨🇳

One of the things I appreciated most about this trip was experiencing places where history, culture, architecture, and everyday life continue to exist side by side.

This was taken at Jiezi Ancient Town, near the Mount Qingcheng and Dujiangyan area. Behind me is the distinctive Ziku Pagoda, a Qing Dynasty structure associated with an old Chinese tradition of showing respect for the written word, knowledge, and learning.

The wider area is historically significant as well. Nearby Mount Qingcheng and the Dujiangyan Irrigation System are recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, inscribed in 2000. Dujiangyan traces its beginnings to the 3rd century BCE and remains an extraordinary example of ancient Chinese engineering, while Mount Qingcheng holds an important place in Chinese history as one of the birthplaces of Taoism.

Standing here made me think about how civilizations move forward without completely letting go of what came before.

Progress is not always about replacing the old with the new. Sometimes, it is about preserving what matters, learning from it, and allowing that wisdom to shape what comes next.

A beautiful piece of history, and another memorable experience from Chengdu. ❤️🇨🇳
