Singing glory hallelujah, I’m so glad…

TENNESSEE STATE GIRLLL, you gave me a run for my money!! You were not my first choice—being from Nashville, I wanted to venture out. But I would choose you a thousand times over, and to you, I’m forever indebted.

You shaped me into the woman I am today. I came here a girl with a lot to work on, and I’m leaving as a woman with a lot to work with. You taught me not to be discouraged by failures in life, but to learn and grow from them. You taught me perseverance, discipline, and how to be resilient.

My prayers were delayed, but NEVER denied! God keeps His promises. Many nights it was just me, my computer, and my tears—but I kept going.

Even if you have nothing left but your faith, keep going. If the path changes, keep going. When it gets harder, KEEP GOING.

All of the long nights and early mornings are about to pay off.

To my mommy,
WE DID IT! My backbone, my rock, my whole ❤️, my girl, my 🌍, my Ms. Make-It-Happen, my shero. I am the woman I am because of who you are. Words can’t describe how grateful I am for you and how none of this would be possible without you.
Thank you for being my biggest fan and supporting me in everything I do. I appreciate every sacrifice and everything you’ve done—nothing ever goes unnoticed. No spotlight, no praise, just love in its purest form.
When I was lifeless, you poured into me. When things got hard, your love kept me going. You cheered so loud for me that I didn’t even notice who wasn’t.

To be an Alpha woman has been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. Finally fulfilling my dream feels so unreal. Watching the wonderful Alpha women in my life from a young age has truly taught me what it means to have high scholastic and ethical standards, the importance of sisterhood, and what it means to be of service to all mankind. From the beginning, my godmother made sure I knew Alpha Kappa Alpha was the only way to go.

I want to say thank you. Y’all made sure I was equipped with everything I needed and never let me fall behind—thank you for pushing me. Thank you for reminding me of my “why.” Thank y’all for being a listening ear: @gabbychandler__ @chanelbrewerrr @nessatrinityy @ahlillian_

To my Auntie Dee and Godmama BG—you paved the way and showed me what a true Alpha woman is from day one. I am beyond proud to walk in your footsteps and now truly understand the standard. Your example has guided me every step of the way, and I will always cherish the bond we now share through AKA!

To my LS, my oh-so-sweet sisters—the memories we have made together and the lessons we’ve learned, I will cherish forever. Continue to set the standard. Remember, “To whom much is given, much is required.”

“Founded on Friendship, Committed to Sisterhood”

Love You Like a Sister, Inc., my first org, my first love. I had no clue what I was stepping into, but thank you for choosing me. Y’all taught me to stand up for what I believe in and to always command the room. Growing up without sisters, I cherish this sisterhood so deeply. I owe so much of my growth to you—you turned a girl into a woman! I have given so much, and you have given that in return. This is not a goodbye, but a “see you later!” To the Relentless 29th:
I love y’all downnnn. Through the trials, tribulations, ups and downs, we stuck it out together. I’m proud to call y’all my sisters. I’ll forever go hard for y’all. Y’all loved me at my best and loved me even more at my worst. Thank you for showing me the true meaning of sisterhood. I’ll miss our Tuesdays at LP, our spontaneous trips, and late-night laughs. No matter how near or far, I’m always a call away.

To my Big:
We really chose each other from the very beginning, and it was the best decision I could have made. You have encouraged and inspired me in more ways than you know. Thank you for being a sister who listens, loves, protects, and guides. From all of our adventures together to just sitting on the phone, it was never a dull moment. Thank you, TSU, for molding me into the woman I am today. I am forever indebted to you for the growth, the lessons, the friendships, and the strength you gave me. In 29 days, I will be walking the stage receiving my bachelors of science in health science. This chapter has truly been a blessing, and I’ll carry its impact with me for the rest of my life.
