‘Daughter of Capiz’ for @so__too ‘s Pearl Show- ‘Layers of Stillness’ A moment in time, her synthesis is movement enveloped by pressure. The materiality emulates that of Capiz Shell, a substrate natively sourced and integrated in Filipino heritage and craftsmanship. It is an ode to beauty evolving from strain. The evolution of my workspaces for the past 6 years 🫶🏽-slide 2: (2019-2020) Pandemic, finishing college, set up in the corner of my apartment living room in Long Beach living with 4 other roommates. Working my first full-time job and built my first 3D printer here.-slide 3 & 4: (2020-2021) Moved to central LA with two lovely roomies, finished my ID program and graduated remotely at this desk in my bedroom. Had to do a lot of model making and projects cramped in my bedroom since we couldn’t use the typical studio/workshop spaces on campus due to pandemic. -slide 5: (2021-2023) Upgraded my desk to this vintage drafting table my parents gifted me. I was doing a lot of drawing and hand building models.-slide 6: (2024) I moved to my first solo apartment 🥹 Worked hybrid as a full-time designer for an agency.-slide 7: (current) Left the agency to become a freelancer, invested in making a workspace that fit what I wanted to accomplish in the next years as an artist and designer. A place to make with my hands, tinker with things, play, take meetings, sit for hours rendering. Your spaces always grow with you and serve what you need in that moment, each place is so special to me by @raelle.3d

Dewfall reflects the quiet dialogue between self and nature, a meditation on growth, resilience, and impermanence. Inspired by early morning dew resting on webs, it captures the fleeting beauty of natural systems that form, dissolve, and begin again. Layered translucent material mimics iconic Filipino capiz shell lamps, honoring Filipino craftsmanship and tradition.
