Well that flew by fast. And apparently I did not paint much! But I did accomplish a lot in 2025 when it comes to hobby stuff. @shortcircuitminiatures launched a couple busts and there are more in the works! Lots of learning and evolving going on.

Competitions were light this year for @shortcircuithobbies but I’m already thinking up the next one for 2026. Hosting these events is one of my favorite things to do in this community and I really look forward to getting back to it.

Also, got my BJJ blue belt this year, which has been a journey with lots of highs and lows. My son and the kids that I coach have been a huge source of motivation and inspiration though. Really proud of them.

Anyway, thanks for looking. Here’s to plans to actually paint more in the new year! 🤘🖤

The Doctor, the Captain and the Mech from the Diner at the End of the Galaxy by @mindwork.studio I can’t get enough of these busts, might try to complete the set at this point.

For the Doctor I went for sleek and clean futuristic superhero. The Captain is a space veteran with the voice of Tom Waits. He drinks Corona and Jim Beam Black, and prefers menthols. I also gave a nod to one of my favorite sci fi shows on the Captain 😂 The Mech is a scrapper and self justified hoarder who still loves cheerful colors even amongst the rusted parts around her. Inspiration was abandoned amusement park rides.

I have the Chef and am already excited for the ideas I’ve accumulated. Thanks for looking!

Jingwei, monk from @neriksonminiatures .

This is a 140mm scale model, which was fun, but I’m looking forward to painting something small now. Definitely had some challenges with this one but I’m alright with her. Thanks for looking!

Same character, 2 WIPs. Struggling with the standing one so I’m hoping to use the second one to kinda address my issues. Really love these models and need to get them painted. Resin prints are starting to go very brittle on me. Thanks for looking!
