My mother is phenomenal. She’s so joyful and optimistic. So beautiful, so funny, so wise. She strikes up convos with ANY and everybody everywhere she goes. She literally has the biggest heart ♥️ She sent this selfie and said, “Rae! You like my new glasses!” ✨

School. Is. Out. 🫠

My school held an end-of-the-year luncheon today at @yardbirdrestaurants and the food was absolutely amazing. 🤩 The biscuits, fried chicken and Brussels sprouts were delicious, crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. The apple butter harkened back to my childhood, leaving me nostalgic as this Rod Stewart song played as I walked out in pursuit of summer shenanigans. Prepare to be sick of me. 😎

EVERY teacher u know is crawling to the finish line 🏃🏽‍♀️ We are exhausted. Mentally. Physically. Spiritually. Yesterday I had a PARENT say to me, “I don’t know how you do it!” We have 2.5 days left 🙏🏽

Meet Leonard Odell. This was my maternal grandfather and proud U.S. Army veteran. Happy Veterans Day to all of the service personnel who have sacrificed their lives for our protection and freedom. Thank you for your service 🇺🇸 ♥️

✨Sweet potato pancakes✨🍠 🥞

1. Cut and boil sweet potatoes
2. In a bowl add butter, light brown sugar and cinnamon (allow to cool)
3. Add pancake mix to sweet potatoes
4. Add water and more sweet potatoes i(f desired)
5. Mix will be chunky for thicker pancakes
6. Pour mix into hot oiled pan (more oil for crispy edges)
7. Flip once u see a lot of holes in the pancakes
8. Make extra and heat them up in the air fryer
*I finish with syrup but NO butter because there’s enough butter in the sweet potatoes 👍🏽
