We are coming up on almost 2 years since I almost lost the most important person in my life, my father. The stroke made me realize all that I had in my life was so precious, and could be taken away at any moment. And I knew I needed to take the leap I’ve always wanted to take, for myself but also to make him and my family proud.

Dad, thank you for making me the strong woman that I am today. You showed up. You took me everywhere. And you are my best friend. I love you so much💖

Thank you @americanidol for giving us this memory forever 🥹💖 it’s not everyday that special moments like this are caught.

MacArthur’s park is melting, and my idol journey has come to a bittersweet end 💖

Let’s start off by saying….EVERYONE in that top 9 deserves to be there. I have met so many like minded individuals that not only have effortless talent, but have worked their BUTTS off to be where they are. You can show me and others love without putting others down 💖💖💖

I want to thank the producers, crew, PA’s, social team, glam team, wardrobe, and the amazing @krispooley + the band for a WONDERFUL experience. You don’t often find places in this industry where you feel 1000% safe, but I felt like I was treated with the upmost respect, kindness, and love. I made the best memories even just with the @americanidol team 💖💖

I spoke very briefly on the show, but I dealt with a lot of personal struggle during the final weeks. I’ve dealt with anxiety all my life, and feeling like I don’t fit in or have no purpose. This is in part why I chose the song MacArthur park. I knew my idol journey was soon to end, so it was time to bare my soul on the stage without any expectation of advancing or not. More as a message that life is full of chapters, and sometimes your anxiety is just your intuition telling you that the next chapter is ahead. MacArthur park also symbolizes to me what it feels like to be a woman in this climate. Tragic, unknowing, beautiful, fun, exciting, and powerful. I would want to be a woman in every lifetime, and I live to empower us. YOU ARE POWERFUL AND YOUR WORDS HAVE SO MUCH POWER 💖

I ended my journey proud, and ready for the next chapter. Through this I found friendship, my true fans, my niche baddies, love, and a fire lit under me. I again wish love and light to the wonderful contestants/family, and I want ALL my baddies to support them and send them love 💖💖

HEY FOOTBALL NICHE BADDIES 💅💅
I’m singing a special song at the @commanders halftime show THIS Sunday 💖

When I first started in the music industry, I had no car and no license. I had to ride the metro/ take Ubers to get to performances in DC, lugging all of my equipment including my whole piano 😂😅…now I’m singing for the Washington Commanders, a team I’ve rooted for my whole life. A way my dad and I have bonded. I am extremely grateful for all those times growing up in the DC arts community, and now I get to honor it :)
