My phone camera is sometimes vastly exaggerating the contrast depending on lighting. 🙈 But in this case the is a color difference that can be seen irl too. It was one of my first tries at mixing with acrylic paints and I did it at 3am😇 so that's a lesson I learned back then, not to do that again and not to get tricked by the light.
I didn't post it back then because of this unmatching color, but I think it was a valuable lesson to learn!

Throwback Tuesday 😇 this alter was made by me a few months ago when I was in Italy! I remember sitting in a bench near Bologna Central Station in the sun and marveling over this endless sea of skulls and bones ☠️

The lands of Alara are very iconic because they consolidated the flavor color identity of the three colored allied shards for years to come! The 5 worlds of Alara are really amazing from a worldbuilding perspective✨🌈 this one is from the world of grixis of course!

Anyway I used acrylic markers for my alters back then and I wasn't really satisfied with the colors or level of details that I wanted, thatswhy I never posted this! 🫣
The land grew on me and now it's leaving me to become a price at the famous Common Island 2 tournament, organizer by the same amazing community as @lega_pauper_lipsia ! It'll be a blast 🔥🔥🔥 (a pyroblast)

Check out this wonderful Acid-Moss @raethebard made for my Gruul Ponza Deck!

I love especially the light green and small white flowers 🥰🌱

Rae asked me for an art trade, and while I never did one before, I was very happy for the opportunity. We decided to alter cards for our Pauper Decks.

Give Rae a follow if you don't do it already!

Lately, I sadly don't really have the time to paint 😔 thatswhy I'm showing you this alter, that I did a few weeks ago. I'm still exploring acrylic colors and how they create feelings of warm and cold. This one is really interesting in that regard because of the gray hues of the snow and the sky! 🩶
Who would've thought that mixing grays could be so challenging😇😅 I love it, even though it's so difficult for me!

Before working on this piece, I tried to find out if there are trees that look like this in real life.💚 Apparently only some bonsai resemble this kind of structure. So I tried to improvise and keep the shapes of the wood unexpected and weird.🙃

Just a quick little acrylic fullart alter, that's been sitting on my desk for over a month. 😇
I wanted to change the way in which I present these alters to you all, that feels more exciting and still genuine, but I haven't got the slightest idea yet, how to do it. Thatswhy this old book needs to serve as a background for now!✨

The last Island from my deck! 💖Jokes on you, if you cast cleansing wildfire on my Gate, I'll just be getting this pretty pink piece of cardboard, so I'm not even sad. 😅
When painting this, I was experimenting with my new acrylic paints, diluting them with water a bit and see how it turns out. I'm not sure if I achieved a sort of aquarell vibe, however it turned out fine!😇 Not everything has to be perfect!

I present to you: Island no. 3 from my favorite Deck! 💙 When I showed this to my friends together with the other Islands, some of them said: "Oh, I love the phyrexian one!" (Back in my day it was called Mirrodin 🧓)
I imagined there being a bit of an ocean current in the quicksilver sea, resulting in these ripples✨

This was one of my first tries at altering with real acrylic paints! 🫣 I chose an artwork with which I struggled in the past using acrylic pens!
It was very interesting being able to match specific colors! I was really overwhelmed.
Now it was one of my 4 Islands in my favorite deck!✨
