Marathon Cycle - Week 16 Recap
~
we’re here: the last big week of training where we wounded down the volume and still hit 2 key workouts. After this week it was all taper from there, meaning we were set to go!

The training cycle is complete!
Regardless of tomorrow’s race result, the training cycle is complete. Running a marathon is hard, but maintaining consistency in training for more than four months, while life goes on, is even harder.
Cold, heat, rain, sun, wind, fog, dawn, or dusk, we were there. However we could.
In Canada or Brazil, with or without motivation.
With the certainty that we’d be running the next morning. Weeks of 70, 80, and even 90 kilometers, sticking to rule number one: don’t get injured!

Ciclo entregue!
Independentemente do resultado da prova de amanhã, o ciclo tá entregue. Correr a maratona é difícil, mas manter consistência nos treinos por mais de 4 meses, enquanto a vida continua acontecendo, é mais difícil ainda.
Frio, calor, chuva, sol, vento, neblina, amanhecer ou entardecer, a gente tava lá. Do jeito que dava.
No Canadá ou no Brasil, com ou sem motivação.
Sempre com a certeza de que na manhã seguinte tinha treino. Semanas de 70, 80 e até 90 quilômetros, respeitando a regra número 1: não se lesionar!

Marathon Cycle - Week 15 Recap

a rewind week 15 of marathon training back in 🇧🇷. feat. @danielvalerio01 . we had a huge peak cycle workout of 33K on Sunday, wrapping up the marathon specific phase. After that we hit our tapers for the following weeks.
