Sí, sí, todo era diversión, risas, extravagancia y monadas... hasta que pasó lo que pasó.

Y aquí entre nosotros: os he pasado por Blender, nada más interesante que un buen 3D , así que realmente podría hacer con vosotros lo que me diera la gana. El agua subió sin avisar y ahora cada uno se tambalea solo en su plataforma, fingiendo que todo sigue bajo control. Lu sigue posando como si esto no fuera con ella. David y Marco comparten plataforma pero siguen sin hablar de lo que pasó en la fiesta. Y Elías lleva a María subida a caballito desde entonces, comodísimos ellos.

De momento os dejo ahí, tambaleándoos, que da mejor contenido 🧐🤪

And between you and me: I ran you through Blender, nothing more interesting than good 3D, so I could honestly do whatever I wanted with you. The water rose without warning, and now each of you is teetering alone on your own platform, pretending everything's still under control. Lu keeps posing like this has nothing to do with her. David and Marco share a platform but still haven't talked about what happened at the party. And Elías has been carrying María piggyback ever since, the two of them thoroughly comfortable with it.

For now I'm leaving you there, wobbling, it makes for better content 🧐🤪

Día 3 o tal vez el 4, ya hemos perdido la cuenta y también estamos perdiendo la cabeza esperando a que monten la iluminación de la siguiente escena.

Carlos lleva más de cinco horas disociando en una silla, dice que está desarrollando afonía mental por sus gritos internos. A Marcos le pusieron el traje a primera hora, una especie de paño de lana, y no puede más: es un pollo sudado.
Hugo decía que con Portishead aguantaba lo que hiciera falta, ahora se está quedando sin pilas en el walkman que rescató de casa de la abuela. Retrofuturismo desvalido.
Al pobre Lucas le dieron una planta para el atrezzo solo por un segundo y sigue deambulando por el plató buscando a quién devolvérsela, y el tío no la suelta, dale que te dale.
Vicky y Elisa se cuentan la vida y ya van por la tercera teoría, todas muy válidas, sobre la incompetencia del tipo que se está encargando de la foto del rodaje.

Seguimos esperando.

Day 3, or maybe day 4, we've lost count, and we're losing our minds too, waiting for them to set up the lighting for the next scene.
Carlos has been dissociating in a chair for over five hours; he says he's developing mental hoarseness from his internal screaming. They put Marcos in his costume first thing this morning, some kind of wool cloth, and he can't take it anymore: he's a sweaty chicken.
Hugo said Portishead could get him through anything, now he's running out of batteries in the walkman he rescued from his grandmother's house. Destitute retrofuturism.
Poor Lucas got handed a plant for the prop department, just for a second, and he's still wandering the set looking for someone to give it back to, and the guy won't let go of it, on and on he goes.
Vicky and Elisa are telling each other their life stories and are already on theory number three, all very valid, about the incompetence of the guy handling the shoot's photography.

Still waiting.

Tenemos a Herminia, que dice que el pelo pelirrojo no es un color, que es otra cosa, pero no un color, y oye, es una discusión que lleva ganando desde los ocho años. Que tía.

Luego está Nico que tiene siempre calor. Lo dice desde marzo. Lo entiendo pero Herminia no se lo cree nunca. Ella siempre siempre tiene frío. Que cosas.

Y Javiera, que lleva más de media hora fingiendo estar en la conversación. Y se le nota. Pero no le importa nada que se le note. Está en otras, se aburre con facilidad.
Dice que se calla porque es demasiado lista. Puede que sea verdad o puede que simplemente no tenga ni idea que decir, también te digo.
Edu sostiene el brazo de alguien que no aparece en la foto. No ha soltado ni una palabra en todo el día, solo el brazo. Otro calladito, pero éste sí que tiene cosas que decir, aunque no las diga nunca, precavido el chico.

También tenemos a Alba, que le pidió a Edu el cargador del ordenador en abril junto con unos libros de vestuario de teatro. Pero claro, no se los pide de vuelta. Sigue esperando. También le pagó una cena porque a Alba no le funcionaba la tarjeta. Calladitos los dos.

Y Samuel? Que entró dando volteretas porque cree que así se llega antes a todas partes. Nadie se lo ha discutido todavía, aunque Herminia le tiene bastante ganas.

Todo es un equilibrio que parece pender de un hilo.

So there's Herminia, who says redhead isn't a color, it's something else, but not a color, and hey, it's an argument she's been winning since she was eight.

Then there's Nico who's always hot. Says it since March. I get it but Herminia never buys it. She's always, always cold. Go figure.
And Javiera, who's spent the last half hour pretending to be in the conversation. And you can tell. But she doesn't care that you can tell. She's somewhere else, gets bored easily.

Says she stays quiet because she's too smart for it. Might be true, or she might just not have a clue what to say, just saying.

Edu holds someone's arm who isn't in the photo. Hasn't said a word all day, just the arm. Another quiet one, but this one actually has things to say, just never says them, careful guy.

It's all balance, hanging by a thread

Os presento a Amalia. Para Amalia, la dignidad humana desaparece en el instante en que el termómetro roza los 20 grados. Amalia cree firmemente que el calor es una ofensa personal. Su cara es, básicamente, el estado mental de todos nosotros intentando sobrevivir a este calor. El verano es un error de concepto. Se niega a ceder ante el verano y seguirá llevando cuello vuelto y negro riguroso aunque la ciudad parezca un microondas. Larga vida al invierno y al luto térmico.

También sois como Amalia? Yo si desde luego.

Hace tiempo que no publico nada por aquí. No porque no pase nada, al contrario, llevo semanas en modo investigación, dándole vueltas a lo mismo una y otra vez, abriendo y cerrando capas que van encontrando su forma poco a poco.

Últimamente todo me parece a la vez absurdo y al mismo tiempo interesante. He decidido que este proceso también merece salir a la luz, aunque no siempre tenga una conclusión clara.

Vuelvo.

It's been a while since I posted here. Not because nothing's been happening — quite the opposite. I've spent weeks in research mode, circling back to the same ideas over and over, opening and closing layers that are slowly finding their shape.

Lately everything feels absurd and interesting at the same time, and that mix is probably a sign I'm onto something. I've decided this process deserves to be seen too, even when it doesn't come with a clear conclusion.

I'm back.
