Can’t believe it’s actually happening.
My debut album, Out of the Woods, comes out Friday, May 29th. 🌲

So much had to line up just right for this to be able to happen, and I owe it to you guys, for supporting us for years, coming to our shows, buying our t-shirts, throwing Johnny a beer mid-song, etc etc.

I was at a crossroads in 2025, I’d been (and still am) writing songs in Nashville, sometimes 5 days a week, for a long time. I had enough to put together what could have been a pretty good length album (or 2) of what I’d consider to be “bangers” (read that in my head in @jwgriffinmusic ‘s voice). You know, the stuff that would fit in on the playlist while you’re shopping at Boot Barn or JC Penny’s or something.

Then I had these songs. That I came up with in my deer stand. Or fishing. Stuff that feels a little more like the wild northwoods that I grew up in, and less like bright lights, glass and concrete.
It somehow feels simultaneously like hooking into a walleye off the dock, 3 Busch Apples deep, watching the sun go down on a Saturday night in July… and bleeding in the freezing cold, busting your knuckles under a rust bucket Chevy, covered in road salt and ice in the middle of January.
Feels like home.

We’ve got so much music we want to get out… songs I’m excited for.. and there’s a time and place for those songs.
But right now is the time for this album. I might not do another one like it.

You can presave Out of the Woods (link in my bio) wherever you get your music- and we’ll see you at the Out of the Woods Tour Kickoff on the same day as the album release, in Superior, WI.

Thank y’all for everything, and helping this record come to life

literally by the grace of God, somehow made it on stage in time to play to a rowdy crowd, right on the Tarmac of the St. Paul airport, after a 9-hour delay at BNA

Fun when life throws some unexpected twists and turns at ya

Thank you to my band for doing everything while I was sitting in the airport drinking $11 coffee

They let us loose in Wisconsin again,

Always a great time reuniting with our friends in @thefrontmenlive

I wrote Just Can’t Explain with Tim, my first week in Nashville, and my second co-write ever, so it was extra special for me to see y’all singing that one back to us
