Just some 📝 thoughts. I love spontaneous songwriting as much as the next free-flowing writer, but clear direction allows me to stay focused on the song at hand. Hard to do sometimes when I have dozens of ideas fighting to come out at once.😬 by @rafinstinct

You's a square, just like the pattern on the flannel.

I use Logic mainly, but I needed access to beats I made yesteryear in Pro Tools. Was subscribing annually for a few years, but today, I pulled the trigger on a perpetual license for Artist. Shout out @guitarcenter for the slashed price.

Argue witcha mama about specs or which DAW is better. It gets the job done, and there *are* workarounds to having only 32 audio tracks. Real stingy @avid.protools 💯🎛🎚🤷‍♂️. We coulda called it a day at 128. taken in Guitar Center by @rafinstinct

With how many voice memos I've gathered over the years, it's hard to really pinpoint when I truly started a project.🤷‍♂️ by @rafinstinct

Where am I in life? Think of Cole with the CDs in the trunk of his Civic, Kendrick in the garage in Carson, or Em at flinging a copy of Slim Shady EP at the Interscope intern.

All that said, a new episode of Sweat Equity drops on my YouTube channel tomorrow at 9PM, PST, per usual.

Modern Trap isn't really my forte, but I decided to add onto this 8-bar drum pattern I've had since August. This ain't the burger with toothpick on your table; just the patty on the grill. Stocking up instrumentals for my pending beat store.🫣 Stay tuned for that.🔊🎧🎹

32 Bars. One take. Heritage. Hunger.

This is me doing what I do best as part of the #PTIchallenge repping for Filipinos, Filipino-Americans and every other descendant of the motherland in this music game. 🇵🇭 🇺🇸 🎤🎧
