POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I have wanted this Blue Berry Boyds girl but she is a little hard to find and is usually quite pricey. I finally found her for an extremely good price, maybe the cost of 2 candy bars.
I looked her up and she is actually rare & quite valueable! She was a special promotion created for Yankee Candle co. Hence the little candle embroidered upon her paw. Luckily the seller took extremely good care of her and she has all her tags and is in mint condition.

I picked up this little girl to possibly go outside on Halloween night with my gothic rag dolls to create a scary, not so scary, doll theme but there has been a change of plans. I decorate at my sister's & she doesn't seem down for any displays this year so this girl will just have to be incorporated into my doll collection.
She is in surprisingly great shape for an 80s-90s bisque girl and her clothing is made well of real, pink velvet.
She now goes by th name Prudence. I wonder what her prior life was like? Someone kept her in pristine condition.

Hopefully this cute little scarecrow ships soon. He was the cost of two candybars.
I have had my eye on this bear but he has always been more than I wished to spend until today. I also had a credit so in bear math, he was technically free. by @raggedy.ragtime

This Boyds is called Aunt Fanny Fremont by the co. As cute as Boyds are this company did not know how to name its plushes.
I think it is time to pass this little autumnal girl along to bring joy to another human. I have others similar.

This is Blue Boy by Madame Alexander. He is a 12 inch doll from I think the 70s. M.A. did this doll in two different costumes, similar in design. The other style is a satin suit. I am not sure which is oldest.
I purchased him on the secondary market & he & his suit needed a deep cleaning. Warning- this blue velveteen dye leaks into the white blouse and white ribbons. I thought it destroyed but fortunately Oxy Stain Remover spray and Borax removed most of the blue bleeding.
I washed the doll's cropped hair in dish soap and combed back down while wet and it dried just as it was prior.
I find it interesting that the co. Used a girl doll body with a formed chest under its clothing. These dolls have a wonderful face painting, with such pretty complexions.
