First Parloa Park, now the Bethel Teen Center!

Two major community improvements backed by $650,000 in state funding I helped bring home, celebrated in just one month!

Proud to see these investments turning into real improvements for Bethel families and our young people.

Less talk. More results. by @raghibct

Imagine spending an entire campaign talking about me and still needing notes to explain your own positions.

Experience matters. Preparation matters. Results matter.

Taking a quick break from your regularly scheduled campaign content to remind everyone that politics is serious business… but I don’t always have to be. by @raghibct

Behind every statistic is a name, a family, and a life that mattered.

Grateful to join survivors, advocates, and neighbors at SafeWalk 2026 in Bethel.

I carried Emily Todd’s story with me that day. Her mother, @emsean11 , turned unimaginable heartbreak into advocacy, inspiring legislation I was proud to help pass unanimously this year to strengthen domestic violence case tracking in Connecticut.

No law can bring back a loved one. But we can honor their lives by fighting to protect others.

Thank you to @k_rybz , @lesleyv616 , and everyone at the @thecentereect for reminding us what community looks like.

We all have a role to play. Speak up. Show up. Look out for one another.

I’m a Democrat. But I represent Bethel and Danbury FIRST.

Bethel raised me. And for the past eight years, I’ve fought to make sure our community gets its fair share from Hartford.

And when an additional $1 million last year and $500,000 this year was on the line for Bethel, I was the only member of our legislative delegation to support the funding measures that delivered those dollars.

My loyalty isn’t to party leadership. It’s to the people who sent me to Hartford.

That means working with anyone, standing up to my own party when necessary, and putting the 2nd District ahead of politics.

Results over rhetoric. The 2nd District FIRST. by @raghibct

From playing at Parloa Park as a kid to helping secure $500,000 to transform it for the next generation!

I still remember the aging playground equipment and those dark, scary bathrooms.

When our Parks & Rec team came to me with a vision, I took it to Hartford. There was pushback, months of uncertainty, and plenty of bureaucracy.

But I wasn’t taking no for an answer.

A purple flag won’t stop domestic violence. But what it says matters: we see you, we believe you, and you are not alone. 💜

I’ve sat with survivors. I’ve listened to families who have lost loved ones. Their stories stay with me and they’ve shaped the work I’ve taken on at the State Capitol.

This year, that work became bipartisan legislation to better track domestic violence cases across Connecticut. It passed unanimously and is now law.

Proud to raise the purple flag at Danbury City Hall for Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and grateful to @mayoralves for making this a tradition for three years now and to @k_rybz and @thecentereect for doing this work every single day.

Raising the flag is the symbol. What we do after we raise it is what counts. 💜 by @raghibct

The Cornell sexual assault case is hitting especially close to home. One of the individuals named in these deeply disturbing allegations has ties to our Bethel community.

As this story reaches home, I felt it was important to speak. by @raghibct

Last night, we celebrated @kind_works and the unveiling of their Community Kindness Mural at the Bethel Municipal Center.

During the celebration, Cody Foss shared a few words that meant a lot to me.

I was proud to help secure $150,000 in state funding for Kind Works and that funding is being put to work. It’s helping them continue and expand programs for kids in Bethel, Danbury and beyond, including another year of their after-school program beginning Monday.

Kind Works is growing. More kids are being reached. And an organization rooted right here in our community is expanding its impact across Greater Danbury and Connecticut.

Cody called that funding “game changing.” That’s what this job is supposed to be about.

Not just talking about investing in our communities. Bringing the resources home. Putting them to work. Delivering results people can actually see. by @raghibct
