I have been using this @big_bite_baits saltwater swing head paired up with @optimum_baits opti-shad. It’s has been going pretty good. I am using the 3/4 ounce size. The @phenixrods 9’ black diamond inshore rod has been working well with this combo. I can make long cast and it helps with get the bass out of the kelp. Still waiting on that pig to get a hold of it.

Had a great time at the Bass federation lodge at Baccarac lake for our 2nd annual castxblast trip with the Hincks, Art Hill , Daniel and Carlos . Fishing was slow for my and my partner Daniel. It was tougher than last year. But the other managed to get some good bass. The quantity was not there, but the quality was for the others. Heavy hitters goes to Hincks with a couple of 9 pounder’s and then Art and Carlos with a couple of 8 pounder’s . Even though me and my partner didn’t catch bass like those guys it was a great time down there with everybody can’t wait to go next year for our third annual trip.

Love throwing the jig for Calico’s. @phenixrods 9 foot black diamond is the best rod for me. It casts well and has a great backbone. You better get you some

The Baccarac federation lodge is a great place to go bass fishing. Here is my biggest bass down there last year. It went 9-6. Caught on @optimum_baits 6”Boom Boom using a @phenixrods 7-11 ultra swim bait rod. If you plan on going down there you better bring your boom booms and your Phenix rod. I also caught some good ones on Butch Brown’s prototype escape gill. Video should be coming out soon. You
better get you some.

Not as good as the week before but here’s a couple of nice bass. The water was 72 degrees I thought the bite would have been better

Pretty tough out there, but like I told you when it gets tough, I use the AA’s monarch grub on a @youngstackle swing head. Still a great time

I have been fishing the saltwater a lot more lately and it’s been fun. The bite on this Ima glide has been great. I rig the hooks going back to me that helps me go through the kelp a lot better. I could be wrong but that’s what I have confidence in. Throwing it on a @phenixrods M1 9 footer helps with distance and keeping those bass out of the kelp or rocks
