What if getting pre-loved clothing to its next owner could be easier?

Seamless supporter @ragpiq is testing a new approach in Melbourne, connecting people clearing out their wardrobes with resale businesses best placed to sell each garment.

In 2024, local clothing reuse increased by 10% to 308 million garments – around 11 pre-loved items for every Australian. As this market grows, new ways to value, route and resell clothing will be important to keeping more garments in use for longer.

Ragpiq’s model takes care of much of the work involved in selling individual garments, from pricing and listings to photography and cross-platform selling.

It’s one example of how circular business models can create practical pathways for clothing to have a second life.
