NOT ALL MEN…BUT MEN Sexual abuse is not about desire. It’s about power, control and entitlement.

When someone ignores consent, exploits vulnerability, uses fear, pressure or force, sex becomes a weapon of power.

We need to stop asking, “Why did the victim let this happen?” and start asking, “Why did someone believe they had the right to violate another person’s boundaries?

I posted this video yesterday and received quite a bit of backlash.

I know Shahid Afridi is a superstar in Pakistan, but with such a huge platform comes responsibility. When someone so influential says that everyone in Pakistan is safe, including religious minorities, we also have to look at what is actually happening on the ground.

Watch this recent video and decide for yourself.

No matter who someone is, Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, or from any other faith, every human being has the right to live safely and with dignity in their country and on the land of God.

This isn’t about being against Pakistan. It’s about standing for the safety and rights of every Pakistani. by @rahabmunir
