Where the time stands still!
Pangong Tso - A stunning high altitude trans boundary lake split between India and Tibet. One third of the lake is in India and two thirds are in China . This glacier is saline and almost frozen during winters. The floor seen in front of the mountains is actually frozen water. The meditating mother. !
The Black-necked crane prefers high altitude marshes of Ladakh for nesting . They fly thousands of miles from Bhutan and China just to nest here. The marshes play a very high role in protecting not only them and their eggs and chicks as well.One reason is that the predators can't come nearby because of the pools of water in between.Secondly it can get food from surrounding areas while nesting.

Himalayan Marmots always get involved in big territorial fights when one intrude without knowing that it belongs to another. Often it ends up one of them leaving the fight and running away from the spot .Here two are fighting and another one is waiting for the compramise talk.
