A Walk in the Woods - Halo: Combat Evolved

After the fall of Reach by the hands of The Covenant, the Master Chief, his AI companion Cortana along with the surviving crew of the UNSC Pillar of Autumn, crash land on the mysterious ring world known simply as Halo. Having made landfall on a crashed escape pod, the Master Chief seeks out remaining UNSC survivors to rally them and form a resistance against the Covenant forces on the ring. All this, while being followed by a mysterious entity who may have some connection to the installation.

This has been a diorama I've been eagerly wanting to make for most of the year to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of @halo .
Halo has held a special place in my heart for years and is one of my favorite video game series of all time. Even though Halo is currently going through some tumultuous times amidst a shroud of uncertainty, I wanted to put my terrain making skills to the test such as making my first ever waterfall with Woodland Scenics Water Effects I picked up at my local hobby store.

I also wanted to say thank you to a lot of the developers and community members for keeping me hooked with this series (even if I admittedly didn't enjoy a few parts of it). The experiences I've had with Halo will be something that will stick with me for many years to come.

This one was unusually tough to print however I'm glad with the results and looking forward to integrating it with the Titan diorama soon

Took a break from painting Warhammer and mixed it up a little by making a diorama of me and a couple of my friends (@pesky434, @sofia.gamboa03) after beating Big Walk a week or so ago

It was a nice, simple project that I could finish in 3-4 days and try out using a sheet of XPS foam I got from Home Depot for diorama bases that I am looking forward to using in future projects

Bad Moonz Ork Warboss

(3D printed using STL model from Jimbeanz on Cults 3D)

I finally have been able to finish painting the Orks storming the stronghold for the base of the Titan. Looking forward to seeing it finished 🙂👍

Blood Ravens SM Terminator Ancient

I had this guy half painted for like a month while working on the Titan so I figured getting him out of the way. I also, while I was at the Art Store on Erie Blvd, happened to grab the latest White Dwarf magazine celebrating Dawn of War 4's release and it had the limited run of Blood Raven transfer decals that I put on the banner and shoulder shield

Volcano Cannon - Warlord Titan

With this final piece painted, this makes it the final main weapon for the Titan build. This was a lot of fun using a lot of my blending knowledge from the twin shoulder turbo lasers and plasma annihilator making it look overheated as well as experimenting with airbrushing some Army Painter Matte Black along different nooks and crannies to give a more weathered effect as well as more simulated shadows
