I’m a little late but with the release of Mac’s Balloonerism … had to pay tribute to one of the greatest rappers of all time …

“ Baby ,
You were everything I ever wanted
Bought a wedding ring , it’s in my pocket
Planned to ask the other day
Knew you’d run away
So I guess I just forgot it “

Thank you to everyone that was a part of this project 🙌🏽

Got a call from my mom while I was sitting in a hotel in Detroit …. She said Rahi your grandfather passed this morning

At first I felt anger … anger towards myself for not visiting him sooner ( I saw him maybe 5 times my whole life ) … anger towards him for not being there when I really needed him … but as I put this video together for him and poured over hours of footage I realized his purpose was way greater than i could ever understand … he spent his life in service of others and made it his job to help as many people as he could. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be there for us … he just had to be there for others who needed him way more . I watched people give him his flowers for more than 2 hours. This was a man that meant a lot to a lot of people. Got me thinking about legacy and the effect you can have on the people around you.

Just like the river you go on , love you always by @rahiraval_

The shit that supposed to make me happy only melts in the heat
If I could freeze it maybe I could turn myself into steam (esteem)

Feel like it’s hard to be thrilled in times like this
When our hands can’t keep still
And if it’s not insta then it’s emails

There’s beauty in the details

So imma try my best to pay attention to em

Gliding on a carpet I’m taking in the smell of the street
It’s night time by the way but you can tell by the beat
The way that bass knocking at my whip just like some elephant feet
