McSwiggan’s (Galway City, Co. Galway) — 6.5/10
Local oysters (Kelly, IE): Lili and I went for a cheeky pint (Aran island fizz/cider) and had a ball. I would highly recommend McSwiggan’s to anyone dropping into Galway. It’s kind of the Irish Clarke Cooke House. I’ve come to the conclusion that I am not insane about Irish oysters. They are very salty and a bit chewier that NE ones, but these were my favorite I’ve had so far and got better as we went along. Bonus pic from Doolin by @rahoysters

Les Antiquaires (Paris, France): 10/10 try not to order the most embarrassing cocktail on the entire menu challenge failed, once again
Utah Beach (Normandy) — 8/10, I liked the taste and size of these a lot (the slightly narrower ones), but the texture was much chewier than I typically like. It didn’t hamper my experience, but just for everyone to note.
Pleine Mer (Normandy) — 10/10, these were absolutely delicious despite early reservations. These are a No. 4 oyster, meaning that they are on the slightly larger size. However, they ended up being very pleasant and a perfect amount of salty/briny.
Could anything be better? Thank you to Regan for specifically selecting a restaurant with a raw bar for me💕 next I will have to go to Brittany, the oyster capital of France. by @rahoysters

In the aspirational words of Kurt Vonnegut’s uncle: if this isn’t nice, what is?
Oliver’s by the Sea, Cleggan (Co. Galway): oysters are, frankly, a 4/10 but the circumstances that led me to them is a strong 10. In fact, the experience may even be heightened by the (subjective) imperfection of the oysters. I assume the oysters are local? They are extremely salty, more so than any oyster I’ve had. I assumed they would taste similar to NE oysters because they are the same latitude and same body of water (on a macro scale), but no.
I went on a hike to Cleggan today (see pics 3 and 4), which was absolutely amazing. You may say, what on earth is in Cleggan? To which I would answer, nothing except three pubs, one of which I am seated in as we speak. I have my cider, my Salinger, my Irish brown bread, and no longer my oysters because I ate them all. Happy camper! by @rahoysters

The Port Hunter (Edgartown, MA): 10/10
A perfect KB oyster (and sunset) to end the summer. Thank you all for the support and great company. Oyster content will continue to arrive in Ireland, maybe with a bit more variety. I feel so lucky to have enjoyed so many delicious MV oysters with my friends and family❤️ by @rahoysters

My contribution to the Thebault family dinner party!!! I got shuckmogged by Addys friend Liam who used to work as an oyster shucker. Luckily, he gave me some tips and so my shucking will be seeing improvement shortly. Oysters were delicious, thank you Edgartown Seafood✨ by @rahoysters

Edgartown YC (Edgartown, MA)
@lisieoh got shucked at the EYC. They were katama bays, so my rating will be obvious to longtime viewers. MORE IMPORTANTLY, Lisie had her first ever oyster and loved it!!!!!!!!!!!!! We ended up splitting the plate, which is terrific for a first time oyster sampler. I feel so proud and joyful. by @rahoysters

Homeport (Menemsha, MA): 10/10 (duh!)
Late post for the birthday @jhealeybklyn , as well as the site of the my first ever oyster🦪
The raw oysters were katama bay, which is old news at this point. Oysters don’t get better! 10/10!!!! Sometimes I think I should try different varieties, but while I am on katama bay itself, it seems offensive to get anything else. Ireland oyster content will be more varied.
Happy birthday Dad, sorry I’m late to upload.
The grilled oysters were delicious as well. Act surprised. I am being oyster spoiled at the moment by @rahoysters

Katama Bay, (MA): why mess with perfection? Clap if you are surprised by the rating. Honorable mention to the most beautiful boat in all of Edgartown Harbor, unfortunately covered up today. Same to my sole, which was one of the more delicious things I’ve eaten this year🦪🐟 by @rahoysters

The Boathouse (Edgartown, MA): 10/10 NO!! NOTES!!
Katama Bay (MA): the oysters were perfect, the company was better. Niamh’s first oyster went…ok but not great. Tommy, Cate, and I took down 19 between us, which was a decent performance but could be improved upon. Presentation, taste, texture, were equally perfect. by @rahoysters

Green Pastures (Edgartown, MA): 10/10
Katama Bay (MA) I think. (Note from the editor: I originally thought these were Island Creek and I gave them the same rating. So not geographically biased) Shucked for me by the devoted @cmhbklyn ❤️ one thing I really liked about these oysters is I felt they stood on their own. Ate them with just a bit of lemon juice which cannot be done with every oyster. Shells were also good looking for what that counts by @rahoysters

Dorlan’s Tavern (New York, NY) — 8/10
Tìtan (Brooklyn, NY) — cooked but delicious!
Not specified where the Dorlan’s oysters were from — only got “east coast”. Thoroughly enjoyed them though! Also, perfect bar fries. I don’t like when they are too potatoey or too fried, these suffered from neither malady. Congratulations to @jhealeybklyn on the split!
We also went to a new Mexican place in Dumbo for dinner and had these bone marrow and seasoned garlic oysters.
