Happy release day to @scarecrow_emcee .

The latest single from one of the busiest men in Australian hip hop is out now. If he’s not working on solo material, he’s working on collabs or with his crew, @bytemarks.wav .

With this stand-alone single, Scarecrow links up with Sydney beat-maker supremo, @threatnique, who bought an absolute banger to the table.

In an ever-changing, increasingly online and plugged in world, it’s easy to fall into the trap of calculating one’s value by clicks and views, trends and virality. While it’s important to adapt to the times it’s also important to value real life connections and not tie ego to visibility.

‘All four seasons squeeze in a moment...
all more reason to keep eyes open.’

Scarecrow will be launching the track at @squeakycleanbar this Thursday 15th October live at @berrabars !

Lyrics by Scarecrow.
Produced by Threatnique.
Recorded and mixed by Gambino at Kiln Studios.
Mastered by @nattalent.
Artwork by Niamh Lloyd-Jones.
Video shot and edited by @willellisvisuals
Released through Rah Records.

Out now on Bandcamp and all streaming services. Bandcamp link in bio. by @rahrecords

HAPPY FRIDAY! NEW MUSIC VIDEO!!
BOO LAWSON | INNOCENT BYSTANDER
https://youtu.be/T8Um-Gvly_0?si=r4qzuCkmanQ9EubZ

SUBSCRIBE TO MY CHANNEL OR I'LL CRY: https://www.youtube.com/@BooLawsonMusic?sub_confirmation=1

This song straddles the line between me complaining about myself, as I'm periodically inclined to do, and recognising that we all inherit a world full of traps, surprises and cruelty. I don't want to work myself to death. I don't want to please my capitalist overlords. I also don't want to do the very necessary self-development required to get ahead in this unfeeling and unperturbed society.

So yeah, a punkish desire to resist meets a maturation of sorts. Hence, I thought it might be cool to show how playing about is therapy in a world of responsibility.

Innocent Bystander was an absolute joy to film. I live near a football field and I have always had a tragic appreciation for the sport. Enjoy that part of the spectacle, if you will.

Track is available off my latest album, FLORA & FAUNA (2026)

Cheers to you all,
