RAID: Lake Travis, TX

As summer starts to "warm up", we bring you the raid of a pearly white sparkling lake created in 1942 that begins from @traviscountytx and the relentless sun that bears down upon it everyday.

Lake Travis would be the beginning of the use of hydroelectic power under Senator Lyndon B. Johnson and currently acts as a reservoir on the Colorado River. It's other purpose was for controlling flooding rain waters and is apart of the seven reservoirs that today make up the Highland Lakes that stretches all the way down to Marble Falls.

Along with its shining beauty comes a spooky darkside to this errie lake. At least 6 people have drowned and numerous boats have mysteriously sunk (when the weather was calm) without any answers still today, on September 5, 2020 during a Donald Trump rally.

There many so many exciting stories and history to this raid which made us take a visit!

RAID: Fredericksburg, TX

Amazing views and dirt kickin' fun was all about this country raid! The local folks were extremely nice and very helpful with sharing the history of this small knit town.

Fredericksburg dates all the way back to its founding in 1846 by German settlers nearby the Perdernales river. The city's name comes from an honor of an individual named Prince Frederick of Prussia.

Chester W. Nimitz, a fleet admiral of the United States Navy and acting Commander in Chief of the United States Pacific fleet in World War II. The National Museum of the Pacific War is located in this town from his contributions while serving.

Still to this day Fredericksburg is the main manufacturer of Gillespie county and President Lyndon Baines Johnson is buried here on his ranch he loved dearly. You gotta check this history filled place out!

This raid is definitely up there when it comes to its rich history past. If you love history, this place will NOT disappoint!

RAID: Kerrville, TX

This exciting adventure took us right to the gorgeous area of the @texas_hillcountry and its unlimited supply of country western beautifulness.

We visited the peaceful #guadaluperiver and its unique downtown that is filled with history dating back over 10,000 years ago when these tribal groups, respectfully named as The Lipan Apache, Comanche and the Kiowa tribes first settled in the area.

Founded in 1856. Kerrville currently resides in Kerr County and was named after a Texas Declaration of Independence signer named, James Kerr. Kerrville continues to grow at a steady pace till this day and we will continue to monitor this city's growth!

We definitely recommend checking out the Hill Country Museum, the Kerr Arts and Cultural Center and the Museum of Western Art if any of ya'll decide to visit! We loved it and i'm sure you will too! We will be back Kerrville! ❤

RAID: Luling, TX

This history riched town known as the "toughest town in Texas" was named after a NY banker, Charles Luling in 1874 primarily known as a railroad town.

Known for its past cattle drives on the Chisolm Trail, the nickname given above was by the Cowboys that settled there with their past law system they had operating at the time. The population at the time was 500 (1880s), by then Luling slowly began growing to a population of 1,500 by 1925.

This exciting raid was an awesome one with their delicious local BBQ from #lulingcitymarket and the (forgotten) significant oil discovery that once happened here by Edgar B. Davis. I will return for another plate of ribs please!

This exciting raid of Houston, Texas was a complete shock! I was unaware of all the beautiful scenery and high rise buildings that Houston had to offer. To the expensive luxurious brands in the mall all the way to the famous NRG Stadium! Definitely an exciting raid. Will visit again!

RAID: Bandera, TX

Last weeks exciting explore for us was a dart to the past, in a peaceful large country ranch where the breakfast was done outside at 8am on a wood fire in rustic black cast iron pans. Beautiful horses were our transportation. No cars. 100% country music and cowboy dancing. Cowboy boots. Smores by the fire with alcohol oozing in the night....

RAID: Neuces County, TX

The Haunted Halls of the Century Old Infamous Neuces County Courthouse (Brief history below!)

Numerous criminals were sentenced and hanged inside the Old Nueces County Courthouse. Law-abiding residents still among the living claim the spirits of the executed reside within the courthouse walls.

The hanged are not the only lost spirits claimed to be trapped in the abandoned building. In the aftermath of the 1919 hurricane that devastated the city, the building’s basement served as a morgue for hundreds of bodies. The courthouse was a haven for those trying to escape the storm’s rage. The sturdy structure withstood the worst storm to ever hit the area.

One infamous story from the early 1900s tells of a teenage boy who visited the execution room on the top floor on Halloween night. While examining a piece of bloodied rope, the boy was supposedly pushed out of a window by an unknown soul, meeting his death on the pavement below. Photographers have claimed that strange orbs appear in their photos of the building. People also claim to hear screams and voices.
