Since I was a kid I’ve always been obsessed with interior design. So much so that I will peak into your home if your shades are not drawn at night just to see how you arrange your furniture or your art or what color is on your walls. lol I’ve taken several courses over the years and even wrote a column for the Revere Journal for several years called Homestyle. I’ve purchased a lot of design books over the years that I love but this book is my new favorite! It’s filled with beautiful design and art. I want to live in this book. I read a few books this month. On a reading spree. This book is also excellent. I love WWll stories. Especially when they are about brave women who saved others. This book is based on a real woman. Of course it’s heartbreaking what these people suffered through. It’s amazing they even survived. Ok so how on earth did I miss this Gem of a book over these past 20 years??? Sold by Patricia McCormick is beautifully written and completely heartbreaking. It is written from the point of view of a 12/13 year old girl from Nepal who is sold by her stepfather to a brothel in India. A devastating story that will stay with you. As it should. Just finished Mad Mabel by Sally Hepworth. 4.8 for me. Sooo good. I truly enjoyed reading it. Laugh out loud Funny, insightful, emotional and sad at times.
