Rachael and Pierre are headed back to Maleny for our next instalment of Mycoregen and this time we are bringing the art of native mushroom production with us. It’s a pick your own adventure deal - choose a single workshop for $100 or bundle both for $180 for a full day of mushroom frothyness. We return to @changinghabits_hq with @cyndiomeara to continue our work on their beautiful creek line in the living class room for our morning session, 9am-12pm Followed by an afternoon with @brushturkeyenterprises incorporating fungi into food systems and creating mushroom production systems for backyard growing. This weekend Pierre and Rachael spent their winter solstice connecting with community - sharing knowledge on endemic mushroom production. This workshop was in collaboration with @wellbeingmovement.com.au 🍄‍🟫The workshop covered the fundamentals of mushroom production, why choosing native mushrooms is important, and the ethical source of biomass for home cultivation. It was such a joy spending time with our participants, creating abundant food systems for the community! Our next workshop is live! Pierre and Rachael are headed out to Kyogle for an endemic mushroom production workshop with @wellbeingmovement.com.au - Where you will learn the fundamentals of backyard mushroom production & the importance of utilising native gourmet mushrooms. This workshop is for both larger properties and smaller backyard systems as you can grow an abundance of food in a small space. The workshop will be catered with a delicious organic and home grown meal.Children under 12 are free. Tickets in bio. by @rainbow_regen

A beautiful morning @tweedvalleyflowers farm planting an additional 179 trees on an existing project site - bringing the total to 729 trees on this beautiful riparian zone. Michaela and Tristin tend to this land and love these plant babies so much, we just know this planting will absolutely thrive with their loving care 💚🌱A HUGE thanks to @latch_x_loom , @latchandlull_studio and @hazystays for their contribution. A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of hosting a workshop on Mycoregen @lindisfarnegrammar This school sits on a large block with a section of Lowland Subtropical Rainforest that @patrick__brabant has been lovingly regenerating with a selection of grade 5s and grade 10s students. Patrick has been working hard with the students regenerating this creek line without the use of toxic chemicals. Hand removal, tree popping, chopping and dropping!The year 10 students were engaged, excited and eager to learn a new skill that unites them closer to their project of restoring this fragile ecosystem. Including our young adults in bush regen is important as they are our future and Mycoregen allows them to do just that. Mycoregen is the perfect addition to this riparian regeneration project and we can’t wait to see Patrick working hard to restore this beautiful piece of Country!
