How to make a pouch journal cover ✨

Tools:
* A pouch of your choice
* Awl tool
* Elastic cord (mine is 2.4 mm thick)
* Clear/cellophane tape
* Scissors
* Washi tape
* Patience 😂

1. Fold the pouch in half.
2. Use an awl tool to make 5 holes like shown in the video. Be careful not to poke your hand!!
3. Insert the elastic cord as shown. For easier insertion, wrap a small piece of clear tape around the end of the cord.
4. Tip: Make the center hole slightly larger so both ends of the elastic cord fit more easily.
5. Wrap the ends with washi tape & trim the tips to prevent the elastic cord from fraying.
6. Done! ✨

The pouch I used came with an extra plastic insert inside to make it sturdier. I kept it because it’s actually really useful for organizing everything inside.

This is the true story of a small printing company in Tokyo & their inspiring president, Grandpa Nakamura. At 73, he decided to create a new kind of notebook after a customer mentioned that regular ones are hard to write in because the center bulges.

With his 80-year-old fellow craftsman, they spent 2 years developing a notebook that opens 180 degrees flat. At first, they struggled to sell it & had thousands in storage. Then, on New Year’s Day 2016, his grandchild shared it on Twitter. It went viral, orders poured in, & their unique binding was even patented!

Now in his 80s, Grandpa Nakamura still works in the factory, driven by passion & belief in his notebook’s value. We’re honored to partner with Nakamura Printing Co. Ltd. to launch the Collector’s Passport notebook.. a must-have for stamp collecting, journaling, & more! 📕✏️

If you love Disney and enjoy stamp collecting, the Sparkling Jubilee Stamp Rally is perfect for you! It runs from September 4 to October 31, 2026. 🩵

To join, just buy a day pass (700 yen) for the Disney Resort Line at any station. From JR Maihama Station, walk to the nearby monorail station on the left. After entering, the staff will check your pass and give you a stamp rally card and sometimes a cute holiday sticker (wasn’t able to get this time).

There are 7 stamps in total (4 stations), and you don’t need a Disneyland or DisneySea ticket to join.

Note: Please don’t use your own notebook or paper for stamping. Buy a day pass and enjoy the fun! ☺️

The stamp rally postcard has instructions where to claim the stamps (both in English and Japanese)🚅

So many realizations over the years 🥹💪🌱 (my notes to self during hard times)

1. You need to have a mindset that things will work out the best for you even if you’re living in a reality that is completely opposite (for now).

2. It doesn’t matter whether people around you believe in you. You just have to believe in yourself.

3. Take it as a good sign if you get rejected or excluded. Sometimes, a better & more aligned direction or plan is really just meant for you. Channel that negative energy into honing your craft / becoming even better at what you do.

4. Be different & be the nail that proudly sticks out (I tried conforming but gave up). Instead of feeling bad for being different, feel bad for the hammer that tries to bring you down. Never be the hammer for others.

5. Embrace yourself proudly. 35 and still loving cute things & character stationery. Still choosing to stay positive + find the whimsy in a world that has become so .. 😭 (this is a skill that I must keep)

6. Go with the flow. If something doesn’t work out, try again when you’re ready. If it does, be thankful + double down on what works.

7. Honor your journey. Your younger self wouldn’t even believe that you’re still loving the same hobbies you’ve loved since back then. (In Tagalog, “malayo pa, pero malayo na.”)

8. Invest in yourself & never feel guilty for taking a rest or treating yourself nicely. 💘

9. It’s totally OK to say no & disappoint people. Sometimes, the more you learn to say no & set healthy boundaries, the more time and space you create to figure out what’s truly meant for you.

10. Enjoy life (& your work life, too!). It doesn’t always have to be about big moments / achievements or about doing the actual work. Sometimes, it’s simply enjoying a cup of coffee or your favorite snack during break time. And the best part? You can journal about it. ☕️✍🏻💭
