📍LONDON - Halloween is approaching and we’re calling all LGBTQIA+ 18-25 year olds to join us for some creepy crafts and queer connection. 🤝👻

On Wednesday 28th of October from 4:00pm-5:30pm we invite you to Queer Connect x Art in The Park: Spooky SZN Edition. Meet us in Finsbury Park to make decorations for all your freaky festivities while getting out into the fresh air and meeting some new pals!🎨🎃

Queer Connect offers a safe, welcoming space for queer young people to meet other other community members and engage in creative activities together. Take a peaceful moment this autumn to be in nature and support your mental and physical wellbeing. 🌈🧠

Today begins Black History Month, and this year’s theme is “Honouring Our Communities”.

While it’s important to recognise our icons, leaders, and trailblazers, we cannot forget the individuals and organisations whose everyday contributions support and protect Black life and culture across the United Kingdom.

We’re taking this opportunity to shout out some of the amazing people we’ve had the honour of collaborating with to support our community.

@4refugeewomen ‘s Rainbow Sisters provides safety, support, and solidarity for LGBTQIA+ women as they navigate the asylum system.

@omikemi.me creates spaces for Black LGBTQIA+ people to explore connection, different ways of listening and knowing through somatic, creative, and nature-based practices.

It’s an honour to partner with them in service to our community.

Last night, we raised an incredible £1,365 for our two wonderful charity partners, @rainbowminduk and @terrencehigginstrust, at our Queerz Night Battle of the Banks and Professional Services! 💜

With 22 amazing teams taking part, it was a fantastic evening of quizzing and, most importantly, raising money for two brilliant causes. We were so proud to collaborate with @interbanklgbt to make it happen. 🏦🏳️‍🌈

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who took part, supported the event and helped us make the night such a success.

We are still basking in love and overwhelm over how beautiful last night was.

Over 150 of you came along to hold space for 14 LGBTQ+ poets who had the courage to be so vulnerable on stage and share their art with us. Each poet was so different, but all were united by their love for the community and their desire to support our new charity partner @rainbowminduk.

We cannot thank our poets, the audience, the incredible volunteers from @rainbowminduk, and our good friends @9.da_indigo @terriwaters_ @hazelmehmet_ and @zoe_berryman enough for making the show exactly what it was. A special thank you also goes to @tyronelewiscreative for capturing the night and to our new friends at @21soho.sq for providing such a welcoming new home for the show.

We will definitely continue this momentum and ensure that The Big Queer Poetry Show 2027 is just as good as the last three shows have been. If you want to perform let us know using the EOI in our bio.

We are so grateful to you all, and feel truly honoured that so many of you continue to show up and support our vision. TBQPS will always be about community and platforming as many LGBTQ+ creatives as possible.

📍LONDON - On Friday October 16th in Victoria park, spiritual care practitioner, Omikemi will be leading a guided somatic walk in nature for queer QTIBAPoC folk and we’d love for you to join us 🤲🏾

This is an opportunity to connect with community, learn somatic practices, and explore how the natural world can support co-regulation, grounding, and a deeper relationship with ourselves. 🌿

📍London - Mindful Walk 🚶🏾‍♀️🚶🏽🚶‍♂️

Movement has been proven to have tangible benefits for people’s mental health and wellbeing, but for the LGBTQIA+ Community there are still barriers that exclude us from participating.

Taking place right before World Mental Health Day @stonewalluk ‘s Rainbow Laces Day is an opportunity to create safe and welcoming sport and exercise spaces where LGBTQIA+ people can move freely. 🤝🌈

To mark the occasion we’ll be hosting a mindful walk: rainbow colour hunt edition. Join us for our mindful take on this TikTok trend in Victoria Park.🌳📸

On Thursday October 8th at 5:30-6:45pm we’ll be exploring colour photography as a creative way to connect with nature and practice being present. All you need is your phone camera! 📱✨

The walk is open to all LGBTQIA+ identifying folks in London. The walking route will be gentle, non-strenuous, and wheelchair accessible, and any mindfulness practices we share will be 100% invitational and adaptable to you. 🌱

We have worked really hard to try and create a space for connection, joy and community. We don’t have a big team or loads of sponsors , but we have big hearts , some neurospicy tendencies and really want to do our bit to uplift our people . We make the space but you MAKE the space , you make it fun and soft , you fill it with your laugher, tears and vibes. WE WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL THAT YOU SHOW UP ! 🫶🏼

After two incredible years of supporting our friends at Stonewall Housing, TBQPS has now partnered with @rainbowminduk who Char is a proud ambassador for.

Rainbow Mind does some brilliant work around mental health within the LGBTQ+ community and we are delighted that we have already raised so much money for such a fantastic cause.

We personally make no money from the show, and 100% of all profit made goes directly to charity. There will be a representative from Rainbow Mind with us next Sunday and you will have the opportunity to learn so much more about their activities.

There are very few tickets remaining, so if you want to come, now is your opportunity!
