STORY TIME 📚 At the point of painting Handsome Jack, I didn’t even know who the character was! 🤷‍♂️ I’d heard of Borderlands but never played it so had to do my research before I publicly embarrassed myself! I absolutely fell in love with the character design on this one, and in fact all the characters from Borderlands which made me also want to paint Psycho at a later point! I think part of the reason why I loved this paint so much was because it was one of the first times I’d really been able to practice my cel shading! Which is essentially a technique used in a lot of animation such as anime and gaming to add depth to a 2D image using block shapes rather than gradient shadows. Sound complicated I know! But it’s really not! It’s basically a super effective way of making something look cartoonish, and when applying that technique using paint it has that exact effect! So yeah! Here I am. Cartoon me as Handsome Jack! If you’d like to learn more about how to Cel-Shade I go into a lot more detail in my technique section of my book! I show you how to do, and compare Cel-Shaded vs Non Cel-shaded so you can see the difference! You can get it all in my book. Just follow the Link in my bio to preorder it! 📚‼️ if you preorder it now you’ll get a FREE signed bookplate and FREE Rainbowskinz stickers! STORY TIME 📚 Now what can I say about Tom Holland, other than I owe him an awful lot! I don’t know what it is but I’ve painted Tom Holland twice now and both times the videos went rediculous viral! He’s my most watched video on TikTok at 54M views! 🤯 In fact I wanted to know across all social media platforms how many views Tom Holland has generated for me so I went and totalled it and we’re currently sitting at at total of 153M, that’s more than the population of the entirety of Russia 😭😭 so many people saw me try and look like Tom Holland! It does make me wonder though, do you reckon the actual Tom Holland would have seen it? How cool would that be!! Well if I ever did meet him in real life, I’ll need to thank him as he’s a big part of the reason why I’ve been able to make a living as a content creator over the past four years! This is another example of why you should ALWAYS listen to what your followers want to see! Spend your time in your comments trying to understand what it is people want to see! I wouldn’t have tried turning myself into Tom Holland without doing that, and then I wouldn’t have got those 154M views! More on this in my book which you can preorder now!! Just follow the Link in my bio to preorder it! 📚‼️ if you preorder it now you’ll get a FREE signed bookplate and FREE Rainbowskinz stickers! STORY TIME 📚 unofficially, this is one of my favourite paints! But it was one of occasions where you spend hours and hours on a particular video making sure all the transitions were perfect, and was adamant that it was going to absolutely blow up the internet. It did not. 😑 …. But what did, was the video I filmed of this look which took 3 seconds to film and was just me making a weird noise. TikTok was like yes. 3.5M views. THIS is quality content! 🤦‍♂️ Make it make sense 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ But I talk about this in more detail in my book. The importance of trying new things and for want of a better phrase “Throwing enough 💩 at the wall until some of it sticks” it’s a strategy I’ve used over the passed four years in order to steer the type of content i make! You never know where it might take you! Full breakdown is in my book along with a bunch of other top tips on growing on social media! If you’d like to get a copy, it’s available to preorder now! STORY TIME 📚 So this one genuinely shocked me. On multiple levels. Firstly I didn’t realise I could paint the yellow jacket as well as I did! Was a ‘go me!!’ moment.. but then the second shock was the number of boomers which came after me in the comments, I was genuinely took back, and not for any other reason other than the age of the demographic who were trolling me! At this point in my posting career I was very much used to being trolled on a regular basis, but 95% of trolls are kids with nothing better to do. Ain’t no kid going to be a died hard fan of Freddie Mercury. I’d click through to the profile of some of these people who trolled me and they had a husband and kids.. and then it made sense why these kids felt it was okay to troll people online. It’s not a generational thing, it’s a learnt behaviour from their parents! Anyway, parents and die hard Freddie fans? You generated over 8M views on socials for me so I’m eternally grateful for your spiteful upbringing 😇 See you next time! 😘 Message to those same parents. I’ve got a book coming out soon if you’d like to support me even more 😉 it’s available to preorder now! STORY TIME! 📚I originally posted this back when the Barbie movie was coming out! There was such a huge hype around this film, over $150m spend on advertising alone!! So the content creator in me thought, why not jump in the back of this trend, and turn myself into Barbie… but let’s do it with a twist. I’d previously turned myself into other innocent characters and made them muscular, for instance Hello Kitty and the Cocomelon Kid and people shared the videos like crazy!! So let’s apply the same logic to Barbie. Let’s make her buff 💪💪 and honestly when I was looking back on previously posted content this one actually brought a smile to my face on my terrifying it is! 😅 One of those “is this really my life?!” moments for sure!! The end of this video actually made me spit out my tea!! 😭😭 This look somehow made it into the book by personal request of my editor! Probably not one of my proudest paint jobs, but for sure one of my most memorable! (P.s. the first time I painted Ken was just as terrifying let me tell you now!) If you’d like to hear more of these stories then I share a lot more of them in my book which is available to preorder now! STORY TIME 📚 well, what can I say about Buff Hello Kitty, other than it was the start of a new era for me! This video going viral was the precursor to me changing my content from just painting requested characters, to transforming these characters into muscular versions of themselves regardless of their origin. Horror film? Make them buff. Iconic gaming characters? Make them buff. Kids TV show characters? Make them buff. I never shied away from a challenge, much to the dislike of some people, who very much felt it was their moral obligation to tell me how problematic I am for “sexualising kids characters” … Me: *posts more buff kids characters* 😇 This first buff character ended up generating me over 12M views and nearly 1M likes alone 🤯🤯 like what the actual hell!! Continuing on the buff trend kept generating me millions of views for the next month or so.. which is prime example of once you find something which works? Stick to it! I talk more around this concept in my book, if you want to learn more on that and much more, then I break down all my best tips in my book! Check it out! You can preorder now. STORY TIME 📚 Vecna from Stranger Things! I think we can all agree, we couldn’t escape seeing him all over our fyp! Fan fiction about him, clips of the series, people transforming themselves into him!! HOLD UP! That’s what I do?! The amount of people which I saw using SFX makeup to craft his tentacle like body I thought you know what I’m gonna give this a go! But we’re gonna do it with paint alone! You know me, I like a challenge. I like to paint my hair on, so why not paint my tentacles on! Easy right?! 🫥🫥 my famous last words. This one was tough! But actually really like how it turned out in the end! Especially with these contact lenses! 💥💥 really elevated the look!! Now I’m no stranger to using contact lenses (if you pardon the pun) but I don’t think I’ve ever actually posted any content around the best and safest way to use them.. you can find it all in my book, along with a whole bunch of other products and how best to use them! You can preorder it now! Just follow the Link in my bio! 📚‼️ RELEASE DATE: USA 🇺🇸 8th Oct UK 🇬🇧 24th Oct Europe 🇪🇺 10th Oct ➡️ Https://beacons.ai/rainbowskinz ⬅️ by @rainbowskinz

STORY TIME 📚 Well… where do I start with this one! Fortnite’s Midas and me very much have a love hate relationship! I’ve painted him 3 times now! And 2/3 have been ‘traumatic’. The first time I posted him was way back when I first started, so naturally I wasn’t the best painter, but I remember posting then going to bed. 12 hours after posting I log back into TikTok and found the video had absolutely blown up. I’d got over 9M views, and 50K hate comments. I had people duetting my video taking the piss. I had people messaging me directly on Instagram tell me to 🔝 myself, to jump off a 🌉 etc etc. All because they didn’t like the way I painted their favourite Fortnite characters. I was an internet meme overnight. I even have my own gif on WhatsApp.. go on search Rainbowskinz 😉 … whilst I was getting all this grief online, I was also growing my audience on social media like never before at its peak I was gaining 50k followers a day! So I was torn.. do I keep posting, opening myself up for being trolled relentlessly but keep growing my account, or do I stop and give up. I decided on carry on and at this point I had a mindset switch! I’m getting so many more views and engagement from trolls! Why not target my videos to the trolls, as they’re helping me reach people who really enjoy me content! So this is what I did from that point onwards, and I grew to my first 1M followers on TikTok through painting Fortnite characters alone! My most recent time I painted him, someone screen recorded my live and pretended to be me for about 3 months! TikTok did NOTHING to stop this. Jerks. 👎 ANYWAYYY on a lighter note, Midas has indeed made it into my book because how could he not! Whilst I had a truck load of hate thrown at me off the back of him, he also learned me a valuable lesson in trolling your trolls.. and I will swear by that strategy until the day I die! I go into much more detail around trolling your trolls and other tips I’ve picked up over the years in order to grow a social media following in my book which is available to preorder now!
