There's way more to me than I could ever list in photos.

Nothing makes me happier than being surrounded by good company and my cuddly ginger 😄

I've recently become obsessed with my paddleboard after buying one on a whim from Amazon.

I'm a journaler. Been one since the early 90s and still have every diary I ever wrote.

I work a FT job and run RCRs at night and on the weekends. I'm an editor, analyst, advisor, and researcher with a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science.

I'm a mom to a teenager!! It's crazy, I know! But he's taught me the meaning of life and given me more joy and love than I could ever know.

I love to paint. Usually following a Bob Ross tutorial and making happy little trees.

Dance is my stress relief. My favorite place to bust a move is in the kitchen.

I lose all sense of time when I'm hiking and have to race the sun back to the car.

I'll usually last to the party and last to leave 🤗

Soy is overrated 🙄

I started my candlemaking journey with soy and after lots of research (and utter disappointment in performance) I decided to avoid it completely.

Coconut wax performs much better than soy IMO. It is a much softer wax and does not require as much heat.

What does this mean for you?! A longer lasting candle with amazing scent throw and retention.

Soy is prone to weak hot throw, cratering, and frosting... giving you a cottage cheese look sometimes after burning. Many candlemakers will heat gun the candle tops for presentation but the aesthetic issues return upon first burn.

Don't be fooled by marketing. Soy is also bad for the environment as a majority of soy is genetically modified. I'm a big proponent of non-GMO foods and preserving the sanctity of things as Earth made them.

So if you ever ask me if my candles are made of soy, I'll proudly give you many many reasons why I use a vegetable-based, soy free, vegan wax ♥️

I’ve been filled with so much self doubt that I almost pulled the plug on Cherry Haze completely.

As my first fully botanical perfume built from scratch, the process to create Cherry Haze has been far from perfect. Lots of math, notes scribbled everywhere, reformulating over and over, second guessing everything, sourcing spirals, compliance research, and more existential headaches followed by swallowed tears than I had hoped.

But one word kept sticking out in my head…. FEAR.

Fear no one will buy it.
Fear it’s not ready.
Fear it won’t be good enough.
Fear it won’t last long enough.
Fear of failure.

But I realized I had to let go.

Because fragrance is a never ending journey and exploration into the world around us, including humbling ourselves. It requires stillness, patience, and practice… A certain trust in the process.

So tomorrow, Cherry Haze will release for pre-order as a spray perfume only. If the support is there, the oil version will release later this year.

I’ve built something I’m really proud of even if it didn’t come together as planned. I’ve been waiting my whole life for a perfume to evoke emotion like this.

Dew drenched greenery, violet flowers, cherry blossoms, and resinous roots encapsulate the Almond Tree from the earth up to its crooked branches. Soft florals, green citrus, and slightly smokey.

The botanical revolution in perfumery is just beginning.
