‼️🤯 I never dreamed of being an entrepreneur…of doing the things I’m doing. Sometimes it’s pretty shocking to sit back and look at how being open hearted and open handed has continued to build a wild life I would have never thought of.

When I was a teenager I struggled to choose between an education degree and a business degree. 😉 I ended up choosing education and I taught elementary education + special education for several years including homeschooling my daughter! 🥰

And then photography found me in a season where I could hardly breathe and it was a breath of fresh air…a lifeline to keep me living and rising above the storms I was facing and a marriage that was dying from the beginning. I literally shared photos of my daughter online after taking a camera class and people started offering to pay me. 🤯

➡️ God knew all along I was a multi-passionate person! I viewed myself as confused at the time, but really I longed for more and was created for more than could fit in the box! ✨

🥳 Today I’m celebrating my multi-passionate heart…doing lifestyle photography for 16 years at @raindancerstudios and the past 4+ years as an emotional resilience coach + somatic healing practitioner who helps women to rewire their nervous systems + take back their power from chronic stress + trauma @dancinginthemess!

This 2nd business was also birthed during a season of me healing from trauma and deep emotional pain. After 20 years of trying talk therapy approaches, my sensitive nervous system needed more presence, compassion, gentleness, and a felt sense of safety to deactivate the fear alarm my body was holding. Learning how to move through emotions with ease, getting off anti-depressants, and no longer suffering from anxiety, depression, and chronic pain was so significant that I felt compelled to help other women do the same! 🫶🏼

What a cool life I get to live!

Today I did my first photography session at a new studio location near 465 on the west side with these two beauties!!

This momma was one of my photography students back when she was in high school! I loved photographing her senior photos and today I got to help her capture this precious new babe! 😍

What joy it brought to my heart to see her again and photograph her little love!
