2025 was special

—

2025 turned out to be a very special year for me.

The beginning of 2025 was one of the hardest periods I have ever gone through in my life. Too many difficulties came all at once. To my surprise, I not only survived, but also overcame many of them and grew into a stronger, better version of myself. Especially in the last quarter of 2025, I experienced many adventures that I never would have imagined myself doing.

Building on the momentum from 2025, I feel more balanced than I have in a long time. I’ve been focusing on myself and staying in my own lane (我在我自己的賽道跟自己比賽), with greater clarity and confidence in my decisions. (It’s a constant battle. Still working on it!)

2026 will be challenging. I want to make sure I’m comfortable with my conscious decisions. I want to carry out my plans (wishes) at my own pace, with intention.

I always think I’m lucky to meet so many amazing people and Im so lucky to be friends with them for so so so many years. We literally grew up and went through many different kinds of phases of our lives together.

Recently I just happened to have a chance to talk to many close friends. Suddenly all happened at once and it really shook me. We are all busy so some conversations were pretty short but they were precious and meaningful.

All I have to say is I couldn’t be more proud of my friends. The values that we share and resonate with each other through all these years.

Even though time gets tougher and tougher through different phases of life, we still choose the realist way to live. We still stay true to our authentic selves. We always try our best to choose what’s right but not what’s convenient.

I can imagine what my friends’ struggles are because I have been experiencing similar stuff as well. I definitely feel much better after chatting with them even though sometimes I’m the listener. I know I’m not alone. I was never alone.

Getting to talk to different friends this week really made me very happy.

I trust them getting through hard times more than I trust myself. I’m proud of our growth and perseverance. I just want to remind US that we are doing well. Everything will be ok! by @rainingdayz
