One thing this prayer walk reminded me of is that Christians aren’t perfect people, we’re imperfect people choosing to walk with Christ and alongside one another. 🤍 The walk with Jesus isn’t always easy. We all have our own character flaws, financial struggles, personal battles, questions, and areas where God is still working on us. But there’s something so comforting about knowing you’re not walking alone. Being surrounded by like-minded Christians who extend grace and compassion, hold you accountable, encourage you, and correct you in love is such a blessing. We’re all growing. We’re all being refined. LADIES!!!! Raised to Be Saved had another beautiful time reading the word and fellowshipping together. We did a Galentine’s dinner that involved a very cute white elephant gift exchange! We read through 1 Corinthians 13:1-13 and really spent time getting deep and gaining an understanding of what true biblical love is. Thank you Jesus for your love that never fails. May we all continue to love both one another and ourselves like Jesus does❤️ Do not hesitate to join us for our next event! Wow, I can’t believe it’s been 1 year and 2 months since our first ever meeting. Raised to be Saved has come so far by the grace of God. As a group of young women from different walks of life with a commonality of wanting to know who Christ is, our desire for community came to life at our first event. What seemed like a simple dinner turned into a night of bonding, storytelling, discussion, and affirmation. We discussed our own personal experiences with dating as Christian women. We talked about our walks with Christ and how the mistakes of our pasts have propelled us forward to the opportunities of our present selves. We talked about women in the Bible that we felt we resonated with and how those women overcame the trials they were faced with. We talked about how Christ redeems and how salvation never lets go of us even at times that we have tried to let go of God. The word says, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace to be put into effect when the times reach their fulfillment—to bring unity to all things in heaven and on earth under Christ.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭7‬, ‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬. So our unity is built on the will of God. When we follow the will of God, we do so in unity because Christ does not bring confusion or chaos. We as Christians are called to love each other and, to fortify ourselves in love, is to be there for one another as a sisterhood and as friends. Towards the end of our meetup, we went down to the speakeasy that the restaurant contained and spent time writing positive affirmations for one another that we could take home with us. I still have those cards to this day. I’ll never forget how it felt to be uplifted and prayed for by women who have been through similar struggles as I. With this event being the very first of our many events to come, we all felt confident that the mission to create community amongst women with a passionate love for Christ would reach far and wide. ❤️ taken in Chicago Downtown by @_busilicious

This is the testimony that inspired the creation of this group. I am still a work in progress, but I thank God that he decided to hold on to me. To any one reading, we are all on our own journeys. The things I chose to give up, do not make me greater than anyone. They just display my position in my walk with God. If you are still struggling, do not see this as condemnation but rather hope that you can get here too.
